The Bulwark publishes some incisive stuff sometimes but I'd still keep them at arm's length and wouldn't listen to their advice on who to vote for. They're still Republicans.
This is what kills me. Canada has high taxes but also universal health care and a social safety net. How much money do people need to squander? I don't think it's just the donor class.

Coming to tabs because I have something OT. I started a new MS medication, a B cell inhibitor, and I took the first loading dose Tuesday night, and it kicked my ass ! I was useless Wednesday -- took my laptop to bed and pretty much stayed there all day and night. Bernice was a gem, came back from the afternoon walk with MR lefty, ate her dinner, and promptly curled up and went to sleep. She may have sensed I was not right, but she may have been tired in her own right. The good people in the MS sub reddit encouraged me, said the first dose is the hardest. So, Onward!
Ah, fuck, they are still building Trump's stupid border wall, and construction is draining an aquifer that feeds a pond hosting endangered species, in Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument (https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2026/jul/24/arizona-border-wall-endangered-species). For the infinity-eth time: The DSA are not Democratic Socialists -- their policies are more in line with what in Europe would be Social Democrat parties.
