Public festivities aren't really my thing but I was at a German CSD festival once (in Cologne in Germany, near where I live) and I've rarely experienced such a relaxed, joyful atmosphere before. And it felt like the whole of downtown Cologne was in on it.
I cried. I still don't know to this day why exactly but I had to sit down and have a good cry for a minute. I'll never forget that.
So I assume that these players for the Giants plan to go ahead with protests against My Little Pony, Skittles, and every other person/group/company who/that uses rainbow iconography that is meaningfully distinct from the Genesis passage in which the Almighty pinky-swore against another deluge.
They wanted to wear their rectums on their "sleeves" until the comment sections didn't go their way, and now they want everyone else to shut up about stuff THEY STARTED.
They should learn to shut up and play the game, just like Black and queer players keep hearing from cishet white guys.
Either everybody shuts up, or everybody talks, and these guys have neither the intelligence nor courage to have THAT conversation.
During lockdown, children's hand-drawn rainbows (a symbol of protection) were prominently displayed in front windows by us disgusting Brit communists as a demonstration of collective support for our deluded NHS socialist healthcare workers who were risking their lives to protect us worthless effete Euro-sheep from the non-existent pandemic. Which was apparently all Anthony Fauci's fault. Except Covid was a hoax, so it never happened, right?
What about Norse mythology? The rainbow is, in the Vikings' belief, nothing less than Bifrost, the magical bridge that connects the realm of the gods to earth. equal time. Equal rights.
This got me to Googling - "Somewhere Over the Rainbow” — sung by Judy Garland in The Wizard of Oz — is not inherently a religious song," - expect an oversight on their part and the jerks will be co-opting it soon
Dumb, hypocritical crap Christians are dumb and hypocritical, and their practice and understanding of Christianity is crap. Read the room, morons, and take off the hat if it offends you rather than making your practice some kind of lame-ass counter-protest. Ugh.
Without their overweening persecution complex, these Christians would have nothing at all.

Why do Christians always cite the pre-christian Old Testament? They love their wrath and vengeance, but not Jesus stuff like empathy?
We better not tell 'em that God's miracle magic tricks are all done with physics.
It'd blow their minds.

No?
Then it's bigotry.

Of course Sir Hawley the Brave has to insert himself into this:

So Rainbow = gay is bad, but rainbow = incest is good? I’m missing a step here somewhere.

Teach The Controversy!
Bifrost, or covenant not to drown all humanity again?
A losing team with losing players.
I lived in S.F. from 1968-1997, it was a good time to be young living in that formerly great city.
As a diehard Dodger fan since 1961, the Giants can kiss my adopted Alaskan butt.
"I have gay friends!"
"Really? Then where are they?"
"You wouldn't know them, they're Canadian gays..."

Definitely worth a listen --or several.
Somewhere over the Rainbow - Israel "IZ" Kamakawiwoʻole

We miss Iz.
What a gentle giant he was.
don't participate in it - you don't need to be performative about it - they had the option, why not take it? not participating is a statement as well

It's slanted by whatever they are afraid of...
