What this idiot stands for is total rejection of the very concept of civilization. To deal with his stupid and depraved claim, ordinarily you'd want the gov. not to tell you what to do, but there has to be an exception for public health issues. Remember "Typhoid Mary"? You can't just assert that it's your god-given right to go around recklessly infecting other people with deadly diseases. Yet that seems to be what this moron is asserting since, if you avoid vaccination for Covid or Polio or Measles for no discernible reason, you're saying the only thing that matters is your own "choice," not other people's health.

""LADAPO: Is it appropriate for a government to or any other entity to dictate to you what you should — what you should put in your body? No, it's actually not appropriate. You have sovereignty over your body. I mean, that's — that is — that's where it starts. And you should be able to decide what you put in your body.""

If I was the interviewer: "...Crystal Meth? Heroin? Crack Cocaine?"

Or even better: "If I want to get breast implants, a vagina and hormone treatments that's fine then?"

And about that boat that was blown out of the water with eleven people aboard.

The story that it was smuggling drugs for a cartel is just that, a story. We've only Donald Trump's word for it, and President Trump's word is worth nothing. Any of the three women who married him can attest to that.

It might have been a fishing boat. If the strike upon was a grotesque mistake - and Trump and his administration specialise in those - Trump is unlikely to admit it.

And suppose it was smuggling drugs to ... somewhere. It was a thousand miles from U.S. waters at the time, in international marine space. So the orange monster is now claiming the right to blast any vessel, anywhere on the planet, if he thinks it might be doing something illegal (or just displeasing to him) on the grounds that America is now great again?.

In case you happen to believe that Donald Trump gives two shits about stopping the influx of drugs into the country, just remember that he gave Ross Ulbricht an unconditional pardon. Ulbricht ran the dark web Silk Road site that trafficked drugs, among other things:

Key metrics and estimates related to Silk Road's drug sales:

Total sales volume: Estimates for Silk Road's total sales during its 2011–2013 run vary. Some reports suggest total sales reached over $1.2 billion, while more conservative analyses place the figure around $200 million.

Total drug revenue: Given that drugs made up 70% of sales, the revenue from drugs alone is estimated to be in the hundreds of millions of dollars.

Volume of drugs: While an exact count is not available, law enforcement and researchers have noted the vast scale of the illegal drug trade on the site. One individual vendor was known to sell dozens of kilograms of various narcotics, demonstrating the substantial quantities of drugs available.

Number of listings: In March 2013, the site reportedly had over 10,000 product listings, with illegal drugs representing the largest category.

Specific drug sales: At the time of its shutdown, marijuana sales alone reportedly totaled over $46 million, cocaine sales were about $17.4 million, and heroin sales were around $8.9 million.

What I'm saying is that it's an issue of right and wrong in terms of whether parents should be able to control, have ultimate authority over what happens to their kids' bodies. […] We don't need to do -- the way you're portraying it is nonsense. […]

but it's somehow very differerent giving women authority over what happens to their bodies and they see no hypocrisy in that.

Their whole goddamned outlook is a tissue of moronic contradictions and infelicities. That's putting it generously and leaving out the "lie much?" issue. Usually, I think we're dealing with people who are both liars and nutcases at the same time.

I'm so fucking tired of the talking heads failing to follow up in these interviews: the Florida Surgeon General has the balls to mention bodily sovereignty and the reporter didn't then push back on the hypocrisy of abortion bans. We will never get anywhere with our press abrogating their responsibilities like this. It drives me insane.
