"Explicit Poetry GPS Phones Help Illegals!" the chief Glenn Beck creative directors shouted, as the writing staff snapped their fingers and rattled bongos.

It's like post-modern haiku in a technologic metaphor. The author is describing the futility of trying to communicate, especially with an authority like God or Beck. Use of the word "error" emphasizes that we should not even try; rather we should rely on internal truths. "Connection" is paradoxical -- we want a connection, to others, to knowledge, yet that is also the means to our undoing.
