It is no secret that yr Wonkette thinks Glenn Greenwald is a screechy, self-aggrandizing jackwagon whose NSA scoops have been over-hyped and overblown (WE UNDERSTAND THIS MAKES USTERRIBLE LIBERALSHITLER-LOVING FASCISTS WHO WOULD FELLATE DICK CHENEY AT THE FIRST OPPORTUNITY, BUT PLEASE FEEL FREE TO SELF-RIGHTEOUSLY SNEER AT US IN THE COMMENTS ANYWAY). But even we were wondering what the hell Great Britain thought it was doing here
I'm not certain there's anything that can't be justified under the Terrorism Act. Not that there needs to be a justification; during the miners' strike, Steve Bell was only stretching the truth a little when one of his characters was arrested for "travelling in a northerly direction while politically motivated".

Mr. Miranda was in Berlin to deliver documents related to Mr. Greenwald’s investigation into government surveillance to Ms. Poitras, Mr. Greenwald said. Ms. Poitras, in turn, gave Mr. Miranda different documents to pass to Mr. Greenwald. Those documents, which were stored on encrypted thumb drives, were confiscated by airport security, Mr. Greenwald said. All of the documents came from the trove of materials provided to the two journalists by Mr. Snowden.
- from the NY Times article referenced by Gary
To be honest I mostly don't pay it much attention, I just let fail2ban and denyhosts take care of it and only occasionally look in the emails they send to check the rev-DNS on the banned entries. My hosts.deny file has over 8,500 individual IPs that have been automatically added, though. How many of them are still leased by the actual machines that probed me, I have no idea; probably not that many.
He ran away to Brazil because his husband is Brazilian and until very recently he couldn't petition for a spousal visa. Now that he can, apparently he doesn't want to.
I have a server with a web-visible SSH port, monitored by a couple of daemons that autoban people entering wrong passwords, or attempting to log into root. I think by now pretty much every university in China has been banned.

"...a screechy, self-aggrandizing jackwagon..."
But, how do you REALLY feel? Seriously - I would have expected this if you'd been talking about Bill O'Reilly, but Greenwald?
Also: forgot to mention that Snowden is egotistical and naive. And 29. Now 30.
Is that "True Colors" I hear...?

Say what you want about Glenn, but he's not a DC journalist, what with living in Brazil and all.
There isn't a jail-cell big enough.
Although less entertainingly.
lighten up francis.

Now, now. They only do that on the Underground.
All countries, for all of history.
'' not end up in a ditch. "
Yet.
