My husband's (Jewish) family left Europe after WWI. I'm glad the now-former Texan family had the same insight as my husband's family..

Fruit? How dare you. I am a happily married, heterosexual — oh, eat it with the cottage cheese? Lord no. No flavoring! I’m not ethnic.

Not if they listen to us here in Virginia. He has no record of achievement to run on, other than duping Virginians into electing him.

McAuliffe was actually a very good candidate. The press decided to crucify him and let an unknown with no political record get the benefit of the doubt, which was totally undeserved.

McAuliffe did not run an inept campaign. It was just Ole Red Virginny rearing its head yet again over a bunch of culture wars nonsense. You have to remember that the western part of Virginia is pretty much West Virginia.

Out of the box thinking...

Not completely heartless.

At the same time as cutting taxes...the government will press ahead with subsidizing energy bills for millions of households and businesses at a cost of £60 billion ($67 billion) just for the next six months, funded by borrowing rather than by taxing the windfall profits of oil and gas companies.

Yet based on delusion:

A senior government minister, Simon Clarke...denied suggestions that...Truss was taking a huge gamble with the British economy.“The evidence of the 1980s and the 1990s is that a dynamic low tax economy is what delivers the best growth rates — this isn’t a gamble, the weight of history and evidence is with us,”

"The weight of history and evidence" says John Maynard Keynes, not University of Chicago or Arthur Laffer

Have these “persons” figured out what they’re going to do with 1.2 million extra troops? As in, where are they going to put them, what clothes are they going to make them wear, where they’re going to find the sticks they’re going to give them to run off into combat (since Mother Russia is running out of guns)?
