Yeah I was curious if this was happening under the Latest Tweets setting, or just in the Home view - which is useless, to my mind. I want the option to say NEVER to suggested Topics, Lists, Accounts etc; but that would mean not letting the AI determine what is best for me, so I don't expect that to happen alas.

And as a start…Wonkette writers, how about it? I’m consistently amazed that despite the dumpster fire that Twitler has become, our brilliant, progressive and oh so sexy writers still remain encamped there. Seriously, is there anyone here who wouldn’t be if a Wonk writer never twitled again?

If one only knows a “friend” via Twitler, how are they really a friend?

You can’t get an email address for them? Or use WhatsApp or FaceTime or any of a myriad of other methods? It seems like encouraging them to remove themselves from the Twitler sewer would be a positive step…

The concept that the first amendment only applies to THE GOVERNMENT abridging anyone’s speech is ALWAYS just beyond their grasp.

Totally understand. Still think you should be looking for alternatives because the whole thing is going to crater and when it does it will be overnight and you will be in a frantic situatution looking for a new socmed platform. In my former life I did a lot of bankruptcy work. I can see all the signs that tell me the necessary petition papers are already drawn up and ready to file on a moments notice. There will no advance public announcement. They laid off a huge chunk of employees. Now they are reported to have an auction set for January to sell off office fixtures and furniture. When you hear they are behind on rent, look for the end.

Elon has been a fraud for decades. Case in point: https://www.sec.gov/news/pr... He's a snake oil salesman that many brilliant people are willing to work long hours for to make "his" ideas happen. The quotes are because he's a big sci-fi fan and just tries to replicate the things he reads. None of his ideas are original or noteworthy. He just has this magic ability of failing up. PayPal wasn't created by Elon and neither was Tesla. At no time do I believe he "Nearly lost it all". Most of the companies he's associated with survive despite him. There are many good resources explaining how he lies to investors or manipulates the stock market for profit. There is a scientist that posts videos on YouTube named Thunderf00t that breaks down many of Elon's claims such as: https://www.youtube.com/wat...

Many users of Twitter, myself included, have noticed that as of the last few weeks, we have been repeatedly seeing tweets from right-wing politicians and pundits we do not followsoooo - twitter is violating its own terms and conditions? can we suspend twitters account?

otherwise, a parent telling a toddler to stop screaming 'fuck' in the supermarket is violating the first amendment.... if you told RWNJ they were not allowed to force their children to espouse their parents belief's due to the first amendment their tiny little heads would explode in rage

I'm a happy little niche that brings me joy when I view many of the posts.

Thanks for making me review my "interests" because it was nothing but garbage, entirely unrelated. Most likely based on all of the advertising I have blocked.

It hardly seems appropriate to criticize "Twitter" from the "Disqus" platform.

Perhaps you are correct, or perhaps the spin machine has been far more active than I realized. Maybe both. It is funny, watching Julian Fellows "The Gilded Age" makes all this sound some much like the what the old money people in NY City said about the railroad people. But I tend to think such severe demonization is never clear eyed. Be careful, lest you be the next one to be demonized. "Here's the everlasting rub, neither am I good nor bad" as Ian Anderson once said. Now, why not go on and tell me how EVs are a bad thing? I am guessing that you have a few arrows to aim at that one also?

So you find YouTube gossip to be a reliable source? And you are sure it is not spin? Hmmm, maybe. Maybe not. I find it to be a good place for free old movies, most of which are terrible but I am cheap. But insight into celebrities? Remember what Marshall McLuhan said, the medium is the message. Video is one of the most corrupt. Pretty good for 1960's oldies though.
