I wanted to say this yesterday when you posted this--I LOVE robins so much! When I was a kid of 12 or so, robins made a nest in a low branch of our apple tree over our deck. I was sitting out there when the fledglings started their first trip out of the nest (looking all puffed out and sweet). They couldn't quite make it anywhere, so they all landed on my head and shoulders. I just held very still and felt like Snow White. My grandma said, "my granddaughter can charm the birds from the trees!"
This is one of my favorite memories, and you reminded me of it, Martini!
I have always been amazed at the speed with which they dunk their heads in the water. It happens so fast you don't see any transitional motion at all - one moment they are upright, and a microsecond later underwater.
So cute. I was thinking about European Robins yesterday, as my neighborhood American Robin has returned for pre-spring. I know it's her, she's at the window waiting for grapes and suet nuggets already, LOL I keep meaning to look up if there is any relation between the two species, or just the lazy American way.......oh look, a red breast, must be a robin. Thanks for the beautiful gif.
Almost time, birdies! Another couple weeks and it is clear out and set up and the bird baths will be on
Note: I do not feed birds, cause we got stray cats and hawks and other murder machines and I'd feel bad setting them up like that, so I plant instead things for them to eat and hide in. But I do the bird baths because even with murder machines I cannot help it, they are so cute taking their baths XD
Some film from game cams trained on birdbaths show parades of all sorts of animals using them. I don't have the patience to keep up thr birdbath, but I plant things for the birds too. My main audience is the hummingbirds but I like them all.

Sugarbush has GOT to be Vance's Secret Service code name.........giving it to Tulsi or Bondi, would just be TOO obvious (not to mention a HUGE oxymoron)
Apparently the new thing is that Big Balls is firing anyone with the acronym “POC” in their job description because they think it stands for “person of color.”
The one thing in that Oval Office shitshow that impressed me the most was the personal restraint it took for Zelenskyy not to get up and just slap the beard right off of J Divan’s face.
No one is talking about the Oscars? I guess they were pretty boring. The biggest surprise of the night for me was how well Doja Cat can sing. I will have to watch Anora. And I would like to see Sing Sing. My friend read Nickel Boys and said it was devastating. I don't know if I can handle that right now.

This was delightful. Thank you for helping me find a smile in an otherwise pretty drab Monday mood.
Martini makes Monday morning a little bit sweeter. Thanks for the birbage! ❤️🪶
Thank you very much for the cute little birb.
Babby robin is bob-bob-bobbin'
Birbbaf!
We have a bird bath and robins are the most enthusiastic bathers of all the birds.
Eastern bluebirbs are no slouches in the splash party experience either.
I love how that feisty baby bird seems to end on a note of "Hey! What are you looking at?"
"How did you get in my bathroom?"
BTW, lurves yer Googly Eyed K$H gif also, too!
It's very Monty Python-esque!
Robins are red
And apparently yellow
This is a very happy
Clean fellow.
Tweedle dee dee!

There is no relation. The European relatives of the American robin are not the European robins but rather the thrushes

New executive order from the trump: All hummingbirds will and forever hearby sing in english! No more faking it by just humming!
Birb!
Is BABBY Birb!
It must be nearing spring. The skunks were perfuming the neighborhood this AM
I have the return of the woodpeckers, who retain their keen interest in my neighbor's shed, located about 15 feet from my bedroom windows.
I bet they smell nice, though!
They freak out my dog when the bang on the house
This time of year I often wake up thinking, what complete maniac is knocking this loudly and this fast at my (ancient, wooden) front door!?
I loves my some longitudinally white striped black kittehs, but from a distance
Me too, there's something mysteriously primeval about them.
I just like their coloration, floofiness, and playfulness. They are teh cutes!
Bitty birb!
Ayup. Itty Bitty Babby Birb!

What are the chances President Musk and the Tangerine send out stimulus checks to stop his falling poll numbers by the start of summer?
Now that all the classified documents are back in the shitter at MAL, I’m sure Russia has access to every government server now.

It actually stands for “point of care.”

Pete Hegseth gave Russia an America hunting license.

I'm, just saying, the last person to make Norwegians this angry was Hitler.

Norway tells US to Go Fjuck itself
UFF DA to you also fella!
Marcie, the link to the story about the pedophilic celebrity chatbots is broken. Also gross, but mostly broken.

Isn’t that the pet name Peter Thiel calls VD Vance?
Mike Myers may finally vindicate himself with this routine after "The Love Guru".

anora's great.
I like Conclave and I loved The Wild Robot.
I really wanted to see Wild Robot with my kiddo who read it when he was little. No go. I've given up and I'm going to go see it by myself.
