On Thursday, which happens to be the 42nd anniversary ofRoe v. Wade-- what a coincidence! -- the House will vote on H.R. 36, the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, a bill that would ban all abortions after the 20th week of pregnancy, except when the life of the woman is physically at risk, or in cases of rape or incest where the woman has reported the rape or incest to the police or another appropriate government agency. Just to be clear, Republicans are still making a distinction between "crime rape" where a stranger rapes you and you go to the police (that kind of rape is "legitimate" rape, and so we suppose you should be allowed to have an abortion), and partner or marital rape, where you might go the police, but you might not, because it's complicated (that kind of rape is way less legitimate, and probably it wasn't even rape, and it should not qualify you for an abortion, because you are probably just lying that your boyfriend raped you, and that's why you didn't call the police).
The blocking factor is currently just technological: The industry's inability (so far) to devise a firearm that can fit up a vagina and through a cervix, and which can be operated by fetal flippers.
The way the GOP is all talking sass and flaunting their majority, it's like they're just asking for it. Amirite?
I saw an anti-abortion billboard last week claiming that a baby (I assume that they really meant fetus, although the associated image was of a baby) can dream at 19 weeks. This claim appeared to be absurd, so I did some checking. It has been claimed that 'babies' can undergo REM sleep at this stage of gestation, but I have not found any articles making the claim using the correct term 'fetus'. I assume therefore that this is just wingnuts quoting wingnut propaganda.

Do you need a cutter to de-ball a pig? I think I heard that for sheep all you need is a rubber band.
How about a Pain-Capable BORN Child Protection Act? It could cover hunger, health, housing, education, and emotional well being.
Such laser-like focus. Or monomania. Po-tato, poh-tahto.
...maybe they can get Bill Cosby to co-sponsor the bill?
The anti-intellectual regressive Party wants to move forward smartly? Seems counter-intuitive.

"[W]e know that millennials—social issues just aren’t as important [to them].”
Yeah, about that. . . what the fuck do you think their important issues are? GOP ignoranus is ignorant. In other news, the sun rose this morning.
Forward Into the Past
Sometimes I think those guys actually saw this coming.
"Fuck those liebrul takers." -- GOP
Don't get a millennial started on tax cuts, Islamic extremism, or defense spending, they'll never shut up.
Newspeak: "Millennials don't care about social issues"
English: "Millennials find our revanchist idiology highly offensive."

Born Childs don't need laws and shit. They can get gunz and protect their own interests.
By 'smart' they mean 'nattily dressed and in lock-step formation'.
Did you see the sultry look on JohnBone's face last night? Oh, he wanted it. He wanted it bad!
