In some local races here, party affiliation or endorsement is kind of fluid. For instance we have had Republican incumbents who (because of party infighting) failed to get renominated get on the ballot as Democrats. Their party switch usually only lasts for one election cycle, and the next time around they go back to contending for the local GOP nomination. In local races you occasionally have to do a bit of research to ascertain whether the Democratic candidate is actually a Democrat.
I&#039;m amused by the GOP&#039;s tragicomically inept grasp of how the Interwebs work. (It&#039;s a series of tubes.) Did they think no one would look at their ad and think, Gee, I wonder if they used stock photos? Did they think using stock photos didn&#039;t send a message (hey, we can&#039;t get any real black people to be in our ad!) that is opposite to the message they wanted to send (hey, look at the beautiful and cool Republican black people who are in our ad!)? Or did they just slap some more lipstick on that poor, poor pig and throw it out into the cold, hard &quot;real&quot; world?
