Omigosh I'm so sorry to hear that. I worry about my mom getting caught up in anything similar - she has a spammy letter asking for money with Biden's name on it sitting on her desk. And while I'm grateful she isn't riding the wingnut train and wants to do the right thing, she isn't quite ready to believe me that she could give this one a pass as well. My condolences on your - and her - loss.
Thanks for binging this to my attention, I think. Even if the decedent hadn't been a sex offender, he wouldn't have been able to legally acquire the firearm by stealing it from Rittenhouse.
I hope that someday judges hold a conference and decide that deference and decorum do not require them to treat morons the same way as other people.
Oh GOD that's awful. Yes. Go get them. Hire a really vicious lawyer if you can.
I sympathize because my mother had Alzheimer's for years before she died, and she was targeted by every kind of scam. EVERY kind, from a guy who charged $300 to spread used motor oil on her driveway to those scumbags at Publisher's Clearinghouse, may there be a Hell so they can rot there. My sister spent most of her time fending these people off; she had to turn off the phone by the end.
I think people who exploit the elderly are a special category of shithead.
The suit should be thrown out because they're suing nonexistent entities. There is no "Democrat Party." There are no "Democrat Attorneys General." The next time someone files suit against these morons, they should sue the "Repooplican Party" and see if that flies.
The amount they got was not large, but the behavior is the thing. Since I live in Maryland, I am hoping the state AG, who has been interested in this matter, may find this useful.
Dementia was an issue with my mother-in-law, which we dealt with by making 2 signatures required. That can be a fight but with my mother it wasn't.
Gary 'n Marian have no time for tarryin,' let they find themselves buryin' carrion.
Let me guess -- Don Jr & Kimberly?
Wow
You're giving me ideas
My mother, who was 97, died Tuesday. On Thursday I discovered that she had been caught in the WinRed scam. They stole one-quarter of her assets.
Damn right I am going after them.

If you have been scammed by one of these organizations, and you send them a second donation, there's a good chance you may have suffered brain damage.
"Kim, you tell that sonofabitch that if after all these years, if he can't give me a better deal on that 8 ball, we're taking your money elsewhere!"
Judge Jack Tunheim will have none of their bullshit.

Again this dilemma. Is this story funny, or is it poop? Help me decide, wonketeers!
ActBlue is certainly no poster child but WinRed allows some shady ass shit.
Making sure those people don't have money to donate to Trumpists is doing God's work.
