Believe me, those 11 that voted, yay, would not have if they thought or knew that it was going to pass. They knew it would fail and that there vote was meaningless. They didn't vote yes because they wanted to end the sanctions, they did it so they can lie in their next election and say that they are tough on Russia...once, that is.
This is a good question. But the 47 includes both Bernie and Angus King, doesn’t it? I added them all up a couple weeks ago to figure out how many GOP senators would be needed to convict and remove Trump. And I think 47 includes the two Independents. Oh by the way 20 GOP are needed to turf at trump. 😩 But, OT, I believe after months of house hearings on all the malfeasance jamming it into peoples brains day after day that there’s a strong possibility that will happen.

On old enough to know: I’m 56, so many of these GOP senators are in their 60s or 70s. And even I was an adult during a big swath of the Soviet union. They know Putin wants to go back to those days. They clearly just don’t care about anything. 🤦🏻♀️ 😢
People need to take to the streets in DC, maybe other places, and protest every fucking day until Trump AND Pence resign. That’s how they got rid of Milosevic. (Serbian president and war criminal) It really was. And when he resigned he knew he was going to go to The Hague!
