Republicans voted to scoop big heaping chunks out of the Office of Congressional Ethics and replace it with an Office of Congressional Complaint Review that would report to the House Ethics Committee.

I have been there, and I'm not giving Nixon any breaks. I'm talking about relative evils here. If we're going to go there, we can easily blame Johnson and Kennedy, and even Eisenhower for Vietnam. It wasn't a Republican operation.
I can't imagine why the GOP would want to get rid of an ethics oversight committee. Aren't they the moral, family values party? I'm sure they rigorously police their own. Just a waste of money I'm sure. More tax breaks for the rich (that will start trickling down any day now)! Huzzah!
