We will always stand with our men and women in uniform who keep our communities safe.

So will I, and so will lots of people. Unfortunately, those are either in the minority of the men and women in uniform, or are willing to overlook the other men and women in uniform who don't keep our communities safe.

A new 52-state VRA would be even better.

I like this idea. MAGATs love to talk about hypocrisy- Bill Clinton!!! Tara Reade!! Burisma! “Untrustworthy” is a more impactful word and I look forward to sprinkling all my tweets with it when I have finished serving my sentence in Twitter jail.

Is it possible to impeach acting Chad? Maybe there’s a simpler route - enforce the rule regarding how long an acting secretary can serve.

Stop leaning on Puerto Rico being a state. They may well want independence. It's up for Puerto Ricans to decide, not white folks on the mainland.

today on all the political podcasts i kept hearing how the kavanaugh polarization actually helped the r's keep the senate. i don't have a memory of that, but i'd be curious to see the logic there.

The Puerto Ricans who, have yelled at me on FB pretty consistently want independence. I'm going with that. Their island, their choice.

Trump’s Master Race are mostly mouth-breathing, knuckle-dragging toadies like most of his cabinet.

not to mention his voters.

that's the opposite of my experience. i guess we know different FB (and RL) Puerto Ricans.

but yes, statehood or independence (or the status quo) will be their choice. i can't say that i'd blame them if they voted for independence, though, especially after how they were treated after Hurricane Maria.

Don't get me started on common-sense gun control.

The Republican Party stands for nothing except clinging to power in any way they can, legal or not.

The only thing I could say is that it demoralized Dems - a lot of whom get spoiled and petulant and aren't very disciplined when it comes to single defeat (yes, I'm talking about the white ones; if BIPOC didn't know how to rise from defeat, Dems would literally never win) -- who then sat home on their hands and pouted and didn't vote.

Hence we lost the Senate in 18 when winning it would have made an enormous difference given what the Rapeugnicans have pulled since then. Kavanaugh would never have been confirmed. Ted Cruz is literally holding his seat illegally because Beto wouldn't fight and demand an investigation over Cruz's use of Cambridge Analytica, which was at the time and remains U.S.-sanctioned.

and it's the same navel gazing "You can't tell me who to vote for". Or "I won't support X"

Always from white people unless it's selfish Black & Latino men who love sexism.

These are selfish people, who literally don't care that women are being sterilized and children are being disappeared.
