Definitely making it up as she goes along the problem they have is not that people want free things they just want what they pay for to be with! We immense amount of taxation for very little return compared to the rest of the world. The argument is supposed to be that the free market will provide these goods and services at a lower price and higher quality than Communism. Republicans have completely lost the plot their argument somehow is that it's unpatriotic to supply something better and cheaper if the free market could do it for more and a worse product! So it's only patriotic to give the rich more money everyone else is just jealous!
"People risk their lives to come to America because of what we have". And if they're not part of a privileged group like Cubans or white South Africans, ICE scoops them up.
Not in Spain, I can assure you. Apartment buildings including what would be called "condos" in the US are cement slab-and-pillar construction with uninsulated terra cotta brick walls, including the outside walls. Double paned windows, but mostly for noise.
In winter the houses are often colder than outside without the heat running. True in the opposite direction in summer.
Spain is (in)famous for this type of construction, sadly. Especially in the places that attract people from other EU countries and Great Britain. That's also been going on for as long as I can remember.
If you're thinking of places like Benidorm or Málaga, yeah, they throw up cheap condo buildings as vacation properties there. I'm talking about Valencia though, where they're building like mad. I've watched the buildings go up and it's the same construction they've been doing for decades.

I never had, or needed, air conditioning until climate change caused my semi-arid locale to become quite swampy all summer long instead of only during the usual monsoon season of late July and early August. It was cheaper to have A/C installed than to pick up and move to Europe (or Canada) so I chose that option.
