I didn't know that. I knew they were in NY when they created the Big S.... maybe Brooklyn Heights? In the 30-80s, you had to be in Commutable Distance to work for DC and then Marvel. Then "They" created Express Mail.

There's a movie about the 'thruple' detailing the life of him, his wife and his secretary.

I think the two women lived together after his death. https://uploads.disquscdn.c...

Yes, it was wonderful they sure did, (stay together after he died IRL).

I went to the fair every year in Guilford, having grown up in Branford, the next town to the west. There are many things about growing up in Connecticut that I'm grateful to have as part of my background, but this is exactly why I moved to California the second I was old enough to leave, and never moved back. There is a lot of ugliness under the loveliness of New England.

A Wonkette story just for ME -- based in Connecticut! I was in Guilford a few times but that's another story. The property tax on a 3BR rancher in Guilford would probably be about 70 percent of my Social Security income.

Wow! I don't remember ever seeing that before. Al Franken as Jimmy Olson, Michael Palin as Hitler, etc. SNL 1976? When you could see comic genius like that for free with a TV and rabbit ears.

Joe Shuster was Canadian, raised in Toronto; he moved to Cleveland and I believe that's where he met Jerry. Joe never lived in New York that I know but he did live on Long Island so probably close by for sure. Not to be pedantic or anything. We're very proud of him here in Canada, and we have a street named after him in Toronto. Here's the Heritage Minute. https://www.historicacanada...

In 1972 I bought a 1968 Porsche 911, then took it to a local shop for a tuneup. Shop was two guys both named Gunter or something like that. One of the Gunters said "Ve go test drive, yah?" He drove the PISS out of my shiny new Porsche, said "Plugs fouled. Need platinum plugs. Need more RPM."

Yah.

Beeman made it so much better with her "clarifiying" statement. And that other center-part gray guy: clearly because the founding document of our nation declares that all men are created equal (leaving aside the fact that women are not mentioned in that and Black people were considered 3/5 of a human at the time by our founders, many of whom, of course, famously OWNED 5/5 of many of these 3/5 humans), we're all good and nothing needs to be taught. Do you hear that, George Floyd, Breonna Taylor and all you other eminently equal Black people? OK, we're done here.

I live in Guilford. Mary Beeman and her slate of candidates are a minority here, not matter how big and bad they try to make themselves seem. The opposition is fired up and plan to destroy them (electorally) on November 2. I'll be knocking on doors tomorrow!
