GOP to Impeach Obama for Benghazi Just as Soon as They Can Find It On Map

Are you sick and tired of hearing about how Benghazi is worse than Watergate and 9/11 and the Holocaust and socialized health care? Of course you are -- just like the majority of voters. Public Policy Polling asked questions , all scientific-like, and found out most people think that yes, Congress should stop publicly masturbating to its own conspiracy theories and maybe get a new hobby such as "immigration reform" or "passing new background checks for gun purchases." But -- sad trombone -- the poll also shows that 41% of Republicans would agree with the statement that there has never been a worse political scandal in American history. Who wants to guess how many of these hysterics can locate Benghazi on a map?

From Public Policy Polling:  

While voters overall may think Congress' focus should be elsewhere there's no doubt about how mad Republicans are about Benghazi. 41% say they consider this to be the biggest political scandal in American history to only 43% who disagree with that sentiment. Only 10% of Democrats and 20% of independents share that feeling. Republicans think by a 74/19 margin than Benghazi is a worse political scandal than Watergate, by a 74/12 margin that it's worse than Teapot Dome, and by a 70/20 margin that it's worse than Iran Contra.

One interesting thing about the voters who think Benghazi is the biggest political scandal in American history is that 39% of them don't actually know where it is. 10% think it's in Egypt, 9% in Iran, 6% in Cuba, 5% in Syria, 4% in Iraq, and 1% each in North Korea and Liberia with 4% not willing to venture a guess.

We wish we could tell you that only random people who answered their phones over the weekend think this, but sadly, the stupid is coming from inside the House. And the Senate :

Oklahoma Republican Sen. Jim Inhofe suggested on a conservative radio show that President Obama may be be impeached over Benghazi. “Of all the great coverups in history — the Pentagon papers, the Iran-Contra, Watergate and all the rest of them — this … is going to go down as the most serious,” Inhofe said[.]

Oh, okay, then. Well, as long as Sen. Inhofe -- who also believes "global" "warming" is a "liberal" "conspiracy" -- says so, it must be true.

Now please stop hitting yourselves, Republicans, before former Defense Secretary Robert Gates has to tell you to stop being so stoopid some more.
