I think this is even worse than it seems, as impossible as that may be. I think the kids have been deliberately trafficked to hardline fundamentalists, so they can be abused and inculcated with the Hate Cult rules; I also think there is child sex trafficking going on (if that isn't already going on with those Hate Cult families).
