You've probably already heard about the awful attack at Franklin High School in Murrysville, Pennsylvania; 20 people injured, four of them critically, and a suspect, a 16-year-old male sophomore, is in custody. It's not clear how many of the injuries directly resulted from the knife; some may have also occurred while kids were trying to get away. Although some of the worst injuries were life-threatening, everyone is expected to recover. No word on possible motive yet, although it's pretty obvious it never would have happened if children still prayed in school.
I'm no expert, but I'm pretty sure there are guns on our military bases. Here's proof:

Put the squash in the freezer for around 5 minutes or so. Not long enough to damage the vegetable, but enough time for the metal knife blade to contract in the cold.
Reminds me of a story that I heard back when I was working in a psych hospitals. One of our patients "went Berkshire" (berserk), which is something that happens on psych wards from time to time (like, daily), and the staff was having difficulty getting him calmed down and under control. He was a big, imposing guy, more mountain than man, and had previously been employed as a bar bouncer. Most of the aides on the other hand were, like me at the time, young guys in their early twenties with normal builds. Our fellow was tossing them around like rag dolls and there didn't appear to be anything that anyone could do about it. Then one diminutive student nurse pulled the smartest move of all. While our patient was occupied with holding two staff members in headlocks, she ran up behind him and pulled his pants down. It was the last thing that he was expecting at that moment. For a moment he was so flustered and bewildered that he dropped the aides, tried to turn around, and promptly tripped over his pants which were now down around his ankles. Moments later he was successfully and safely subdued.
20 people in the hospital is better than 20 more graves in the local cemetary. And I challenge any of these half-witted knuckle-draggers to tell me different.

yet another reason to shitcan Eich
Murderous rage is best expressed with a flamethrower, but that also has nothing to do with the efficacy of gun control.
Remember this a once-in-100,000 lifetimes event.
fify.
Shall we compare the number of mass knife attacks to mass gun killings?
