Greetings faithful Wonkettes! What a perfect crapstorm of a week in guns, what with people shooting unarmed people and then other people screaming that they were justified and courts agreeing and then the rest of us bleeding from our ear holes, because of all the screaming. But under all the screaming there were a couple of things going on that, well, pretty much kept the status quo in place as far as gun laws were concerned. So we hope you all took your beta-blockers this morning or you have some nitroglycerin handy because it is time once again for one of our periodic tours through the precincts of BLARGHHH GLURRRRG GUNS SECOND AMENDMENT SLUUUURGLE SNARL FREEDOM!
He's right of course, see that giant list slate has compiled of all the times concealed carry permit holders have STOPPED crimes since the massacre of children in CT?
Hmm...their search must be broken, I can't find ANYTHING like that on their site....something something liebrul media?
...C'mon Lumbergh!!! Both you and I know the NRA sunk no less than 8mil into "Grand Theft Auto V"!!! And despite my Libtard roots, I will be robbing drug dealers and banging prostitutes on September 17th 2013!
...ummm, did that just get me on a NSA tracking list?
Just about 100% of gun nuts are drooling over the day they can just legally murder someone (for turning around in their driveway or knocking on their door, etc).
Stand your ground doesn't have anything to do with the (un)regulated right to bear arms. Instead it creates a form of legalized murder where deadly force can be used as a first resort instead of as a last resort. So why does the NRA feel so strongly about this? I think it's because they are terroristic thugs who won't be satisfied until the American death toll from guns exceeds 9/11. OH WAIT! It already does that every few weeks.
It's not even the SYG part that's particularly egregious. It's a combination of the lack of any need to demonstrate necessity or proportionality for the use of force, and the fact that unlike any other affirmative defense ("Yes I did it but you should acquit because...") I can think of, the prosecution has to prove beyond reasonable doubt that the defendant did not rationally fear for his life; usually the burden of proof switches to the defendant when making an affirmative defense.

...Glock's, Berreta's and American Eagle families are all insulted!

Hey, Gary, unless you go by adapto1432 over at Raw Story, some guy has copypastaed pretty much this entire article into the comments.

It will make your abs look ginormous and your ass look fat. Vertical stripes may help.
You will never get my fingers until you pry them out of my cold, dead hands.
...I look forward to the day when everyone walks around with grenade launchers and mini-guns!
...QUESTION: Where is Wayne Lapierre? Shouldn't he campaigning for the militarization of the black community?
I thought it was the bullets.

i like happy endings too, though with a different kind of shooting.
That reminds me, when does brown people season open in Florida?
The terrorist watch list: not good enough to deny people the right to carry murder weapons, but good enough to deny people the right to vote.
