Guy Running For Illinois Gov Cheated On First Wife 20 Years Ago, And Business Insider Is ON IT.
Where were you when you heard the news that some guy running for Illinois governor cheated on his first wife 20 years ago? Was it right now, because who the fuck cares, Jesus Christ?
Nobody seems to have picked up on Hunter Walker's May 5 Business Insider SCOOPTYSCOOP that some guy running for Illinois governor cheated on his first wife 20 years ago, because who the fuck cares, until yesterday, when NBC decided this was a worthwhile thing to spend its pixels on.
Oh, but you guys, both Business Insider and NBC have a REASON why this is relevant and not totally disgusting trash: see, the guy running for Illinois governor is a Republican, and he has ads with his current wife, who is a Democrat, and the point of those ads is that they can get along and reach-around the aisle and whatnot. But because this guy cheated on his first wife, 20 years ago, this is ... not true somehow? Probably even hypocrisy of the highest magnitude, somehow, we are sure? Sure, let's go with that.
We don't know this Bruce Rauner dude -- we pay no attention to you, Illinois, since you unaccountably snatched from our bosom your HILARIOUS Mr. Blagojevich. But both Business Insider and NBC should feel dirty, and ashamed, and secure in the knowledge that they have plumbed the depths of gross research oppo, the kind that keeps people from getting into public service, because some shitweasel will ferret out a 20-year-old divorce that didn't even have anything out of the ordinary in it -- no abuse, no forcing her to go swinging, no cheating while holding her up publicly as his better moral half -- and it was a slow news day so you spread the shit out of it.
Your mothers must be very proud.
