Just occurred to me...I would be interested in meeting some of the parents that raised these vegetables. What creates such self-loathing, pity-party-loving creatures? Are there certain family background features they all have in common?

Also, does it really matter if incomes drop or go up or does it matter whether people vote.

The only thing AI even remotely does well is code, and even there it's a fight to get things to work out correctly. Having spent far too long reading through posts on programmers commenting on how difficult it is to keep an AI on track and not making disastrous errors to their code and then having to review every line to ensure that the whole thing doesn't go up in smoke once the code is committed and applied I can say that we actually don't have to worry all that much about the Impending AI Apocalypse™.
Add to that the fact that using AI requires high-level coding skills to give it the correct prompts and to recognize when it's going off the rails. The problem with this is that the reason that the Corporate Class has been so willing to shovel vast sums of money into AI is that they have the mistaken belief that all that will be required in the near future is for people to yell at computers "MAKE ME AN APP" and magic will happen. However making AI that destroys the entry level positions that gave the high-level coders the experience to be able to see when an AI agent has lost the thread means that they are eating the seed corn, if there isn't a way to train people to that level through lower level experience then at some point all the experts will be gone and then who will wrangle the slop code from the AI?
You can always get money for the stupidest ideas from the moneyed class if you sell them on some pie in the sky notion that they can stop paying people and still get work done.
I have qualms about AI, though mostly about the bugs that will sneak through. I must admit though that Amazon's new AI Echo is brilliant. I finished a question one, then a cat jumped into my lap and I told him he was evil. Echo took it personally and responded that that seemed harsh and she just wanted to be a whimsical helper. I explained to "her" that I was talking to my cat. She understood and agree that cats are evil. I did not expect that level of intelligence. It's useful, but a little scary.
I just tried to read this asshole's wikipedia bio. What I could endure confirmed that he's an asshole. So the West triumphed because the West is better at mass murder? Got it. And Europeans killed off the indigenous American empires because they didn't wash, and stunk worse than pigs in shit? Right. And I suppose the next thing he'll say is that the Abrahamic god, aka Yahweh, is the personification of "love" despite the endless tales of genocide in the "Good Book". The only thing that Palantir excels at is artificial stupidity.
