Larry Nassar, the former USA Gymnastics doctor accused of molesting and raping more than 140 gymnasts and convicted of both possession of child pornography and multiple counts of criminal sexual conduct with a child under the age of 16, is very sad.
And McKayla Maroney for one has filed a lawsuit against USA Gymnastics for forcing a NDA on her in the settlement she reached with them 2 years ago about the abuse. https://deadspin.com/mckayl... According to the terms of the agreement, she would have been fined $150,000 for making a statement at this sentencing. But USAG oh so magnanimously waived that fine at the last minute, so she sent a statement to be read by others.
He might need to be in solitary for his own safety. There are folks in prison who have wives and daughters (nieces, grandkids... you get the idea) on the outside and some of them have no reason to hold back when they find out what he is in for. (See: Dahmer, Jeffrey, for example) Those cons might be there for assault or murder, but come on, they have standards.
He's not going to last very long in prison. Historically, child-rapists are, shall we say, frowned upon by the general population. Violently.
Not advocating for, or joking about it. Just saying that it's not uncommon for shit monsters like him to meet a sooner end when they get put away. At the very least, he will be among the most miserable motherfuckers in the joint, and he deserves that.
