Makes sense. "When we do it, it's just normal. We're not craven like our successors."

For what it's worth, whild I agree with you, what they say IS possible. My mother was the eldest of seven, and she basically helped raise her 6 siblings. And while her parents were good parents, my mother was still like a mother to the others.

As such, while my parents were married when my mother was 24 and my father was 26, I was not born until my mom was 44, cause she had spent years essentailly being a parent.I am also, not surprisingly, an only child.

I can help with some of them, What I do is look at the local tea party recommendations and cross off their candidates, also the hate churches recommended voter guide, again picking the opposite. (I caught a bad judge that way because they don't put their party on the ballot.) I also check the Dem. voting guide to be sure I haven't missed anyone good. All the judges here, were appointed by JEB! or Prick Scott so I voted against retaining any of them. All our amendments except the minimum wage one, are fishy, especially the scammy one about voting twice on an amendment to pass it. (#4) I hope that helps.

In an older historical perspective it was quite normal to borrow your dads car. Not everyone got a new car as a gift from daddy when they became 16, because your infrastructure wasn't as car oriented back then. Towns were still walkable. In rural areas bicycles were actually somewhat common.

Whatever works. The Magicians is good, if your streaming thing has it, or library. It’s a whole evolving story though. May not have that comforting numbness.

I know. And it’s so creepy. All the cosseting white southern bullshit, down the decades since then. I only realized in the last 10 years so I was in my 40s that they never hanged Jefferson Davis and Robert E. Lee. And I was really interested in the Civil War since I was a kid because I had ancestors in it. That they didn’t hang them is astonishing. They were real big on hanging in the 19th century. All of the leaders of Ireland’s Easter rising against British rule in the 1910s were hanged.
