Re the doggie pic...this is what my dog does when she comes in from a walk in hot weather. I always carry water for her, this am when we went out it was already over 70 degrees. It's not the heat, it's the humidity. Floor is cool, I guess.
My piano teacher coached Lupone in Evita. When βDonβt Cry for Me Argentinaβ came up in the lesson book, he told me to skip it. This was not out of fear that I would ruin it. I may have mentioned before that my wife had a minor role in Sweeney Todd at Lincoln Center, with Lupone, George Hearn and Audra McDonald. I love Patty, and I think she was the best Mama Rose Iβve seen.* Iβve not yet seen Audra in the role.
* Arthur Larents, who wrote the book for Gypsy (and also, among other things, the script for βThe Way We Wereβ), directed Luponeβs Gypsy and was, perhaps, a little closer to the source: the books written by Gypsy Rose Lee and her sister, June Havoc.
Ta, Robyn. I LOATHE Madonna. To me, she's living proof that one can build an entire career on pure ambition. Yes, she works very hard at being Madonna, but she permanently lowered the bar on what's acceptable in a singer (thus an entire generation of terribly untalented "singers" like Jennifer Lopez). I agree with Patti LuPone that she's "dead behind the eyes" and "cannot act her way out of a paper bag." If Madonna had any integrity she'd have used her money, power, and fame to become a film producer and put people with real talent on the screen. However, I support your absolute right to enjoy whatever you like, and I always appreciate John Waters.
Madonna went to the University of Michigan on a dance scholarship
That has always annoyed me even as I've always admired her work ethic & enjoyed her performance in Desperately Seeking Susan (I think the rest of the ensemble made her better - Rosanna Arquette and Aidan Quinn were in it)
in part I think because she & I have the same level of turnout and I had to work my butt off to keep my academic scholarship (peer educating requirements, essays every year) when I could have just had a free ride, going to rehearsal and taking Pilates, like she did
So, Justice OβConnor probably didnβt time travel back from her Reagan appointment to serve on the Supreme Court under Burger . . . Per Wikipedia, the court makeup for Miller was:

Warren E. Burger
Associate Justices
William O. Douglas Β· William J. Brennan Jr.
Potter Stewart Β· Byron White
Thurgood Marshall Β· Harry Blackmun
Lewis F. Powell Jr. Β· William Rehnquist
Case opinions
Majority Burger, joined by White, Blackmun, Powell, Rehnquist
So I can be legally protected from seeing / hearing / knowing of Sir and his Power Porn? And I can be legally protected from seeing / hearing / knowing of Musk and his Wealth Porn?
1. Mike Lee, Mike Johnson and all those other weirdos who may or may not be named Mike definitely cry in the shower after sex. Talk about repressed!.
2. This Filrhy World is ome of my go to watches when I'm feeling crappy, when I can't sleep, when the weather is bad and there's nothing to do...really just whenever. I love it.
3. My daughter discovered Patti Lupone while watching Pose. I saw and said "Oh, that's Patti Lupone". Daughter said "Who?". So I had to explain who she was. Yoots.
Mike Lee is just itching to be a Federal criminal. Actually, I think he's one already, so maybe he just wants to add to his rap sheet Sorta like his CV. There should be laws requiring every member of congress to disclose their tax returns, their investment history and their web browsing history. I'm particularly curious about Mikey Johnson, the guy with no bank and a son who vets his kinks.
Of course banning porn is ridiculous for all of the obvious free speech reasons but, in theory though, it would be funnier than hell! It would be high comedy to see all of these dudes walking around, twitching, talking to themselves and rolling steel balls around in their hands. We need to bring back the days when X Rated movies were the domain of sweaty middle aged men in long raincoats.
Ever since a ruling elite first established itself in some farming village and insisted what the local farmers needed was someone to protect the village and the farms from outsiders we have had taxes upon the farmers and slavery of captured outsiders. That was the first coercive military/police state which eventually was scaled up to empire levels. We live in one right now.
But the military/ police state could do nothing about droughts, earthquakes, floods. Armed enforcers and landlords could not stop those things. So religion was born. The metaphysical origins of those events could be regulated with the right priesthood using correct rituals done in a nicely decorated temple. If anything went wrong it was because the people themselves MUST have done something bad and the hidden sin must be discovered and expunged. The joint collaboration of the police state, the landlords and religious authorities kept the population in an eternal state of alarm about imminent threats of outside invasion and inner failure to adhere properly to the established moral codes. Periodically the military, political and religious orders issued declarations of 'moral decline' and enforced purges of objectionable people and things and ideas.
Mike Lee is just doing the traditional prophets job of alarming everyone about 'sin' and how sin will bring divine wrath.
Mike Lee is wearing his Mormon Magic underwear so tight it has cut off circulation to his head.

That clip of Audra McDonald.... HOT DIGGITY DAMN.
Why do I have the sneaking suspicion that Mike Lee is eventually going to be outed as being guilty of some heinous perversion or other?
It would certainly follow that tired old script that has been done to death by the R's.

Oh boy! Streaming pr0n from the innertubes via Tor is going to piss *a lot* of people off. XD

Wouldn't making porn a crime be problematic for Mike Johnson's agreement with his son?
His son can always be deputized, if the Jan 6th-ers can . . .

Never ending moral panic.
What's on Mike Lee's laptop? This stinks of deflection and RED FLAG!!!!! to me..
Holy Mike has an app for that.
The entire MAGA regime from the top down is more pernicious than whatever porn-filled fantasies that make lurk in Lee's mind and lack of soul.
