I thought "Eff you Donald Trump Day" was *every* day. Live and learn, I guess (sobs quietly).

two chicagoans on vacation in CO (skiing in mashed potato snow) went to FAIRPLAY COLORADO to protest. over 200 lining the main street. loads of supportive honking. couple assholes in chevys.

great day!

Attended the protest in Findlay, Ohio. Somewhere between 1,500-2,000 were there, which is far beyond my expectations in ruby red Hancock County. I even saw people from nearby Putnam County which has gone anywhere from 89-92% for the bloated one. The region is heavily agricultural and a couple of speakers laid down the smack regarding lost markets, expenses etc.

There has long been a movement in these counties to honor war dead by posting banners on the light posts along the main drag with their picture, rank, and the war or conflict in which they participated. One emotional moment for me was to look at the banners and wonder if today's America was what they had in mind. The handicapped Vietnam veteran that slowly entered the protest gave me an answer without speaking.

It was important for me to attend since Vietnam protesters spared me from moving to Canada. They suspended the draft in time to spare me.

I also attended for my 8-year old grandson. I might not be around to see the Epstein class brought to heel and our country once again given the chance to pursue its potential but I want him to live that promise.

See you at the next one.

This was the best turn out at RHINELANDER CHEESELAND yet! I was having a ball banging my cow bell all over the place. There was one TRUMPMONKEY all by his lonesome. We let him do his thing!

TFG has just promulgated the new version of the Pledge of Allegiance (www.donaldtrump.thegreatestleaderinthehistoryoftheworld.eatme), to wit:

"I pledge allegiance to King Donald John Trump, and to the former Republic which is him, one nation under Don, indentured, with submission and fawning for all."

Beautiful weather for the 2500 people who gathered at the Vancouver, WA waterfront. Best sign: Flip us off if you voted for a pedophile.

Our No Kings in Fort Pierce stretched from City Hall down to the federal courthouse where Judge Cannon presides. I don't imagine she was in on Saturday.

One guy did drive by and yell Get A Job.

LyftControlledCities's avatar

I'd bet a week's paycheck Mr. Get A Job is on food stamps

Suzie Greenburg's avatar

Lots of people on food stamps have jobs.

There is nothing wrong with accessing food stamps.

Ill-Advised's avatar

I think the point was the likely hypocrisy.

Suzie Greenburg's avatar

I don't care. There is no reason to get a zinger in on the backs of the poor. Hypocrisy should be targeted to the hipocrate- saying "Mr Get A Job is probably retired" would fit far better, since having a job in this country has nothing to do with being on food stamps, except the work requirements, of course. We know minimum wage doesn't afford food and a place to live.

People should encourage those eligible for food stamps to get them, not use it as a punchline.

AND IT'S YOUR JOB TO MAKE SURE THE BATTERIES IN SHAMBLES' MAGIC EIGHT BALL ARE FRESH

“It’s the job of the Pentagon to make preparations in order to give the Commander in Chief maximum optionality," White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt told the Post.

cmd Human Scum's avatar

"Optionality." That's not even a real word.

jltympanum's avatar

That's OK. Karoline Leavitt isn't a real person.

you can thank nh's education system for an epic fail.

We went to the protest in Morristown, NJ again. It was cold but there was a large crowd. It didn't seem as energetic as the previous No Kings but that could be the cold temperature or as we (my group) discussed maybe just being tired of not only the constant firehose of bullshit but also the feeling that nothings changed and that we're in this alone. We're not giving up or in just feeling tired right now.

There was a lone magat (or the only one I saw) at the entrance of the area the gathering was held. He was holding his "I Support ice" and "assmouth 2024" flags to help us better identify him. On the way in my big mouth opened as I passed him "ice can rot the fuck in hell and you can fucking join them" I realized I shouldn't have shown my contempt and on the way out after the gathering I corrected myself and walked right up by him (there were other no Kings people there with their anti-assmouth, anti-ice, etc signs) made eye contact, pointed and laughed right in his face. He didn't say anything but by the look he gave me I've no doubt he was calling me the B and C words.

Anyway here are some signs from today:

I'm the one in the "Pelosi ripping up the SotU" shirt. The guy with the bike was driving it up and down ElC, crossing at the two local intersections; I got his permission for the photo. Across the street were portable box speakers, a whole chain of them synced together, playing protest songs until 3:30 when someone got on to read the Declaration of Independence live. The inflatable thing in gray has a Tesla T-shirt and a Maga hat, and if I'd timed it better would be giving a Nazi salute. I have a couple of videos where you get the whole effect and the Tesla dealership sign.

Just got home from the Chicago march. It was good. May have videos and stills to post tomorrow, after I get everything sorted out.

We had several hundred in suburban Maryland (north of Silver Spring). It can be dicey bringing dogs to things like this, but I scouted it out and the crowd was chill, plus our dog (a certified therapy dog) is super-chill, so Holly joined us (and was very popular). Unlike some previous events, there were zero counter-protesters, or really any negative reactions at all. Tons of cheering from passing traffic.

No good crowd shots from me, but here's Holly: https://substack.com/profile/139066477-mahousu/note/c-234763465?utm_source=substack&utm_content=first-note-modal
