Just got back from the protest in downtown Fayetteville, North Carolina, in the shadow of Fort Bragg. Only a few hundred but lots of enthusiastic honks. One Trump truck that got booed and one counterprotester who spent his time hollering into his phone. I understand that is how you identify "influencers" in the wild.

Everyone took pictures of my sign which depicts a cute but stupid orange with a jester's crown. They also seemed impressed that I wore all US flags. Its illegal to wear masks to protests on NC but the wind chill was bad so my all-American balaclava pulled over my ears and mouth made me look revolutionary chic. I also wear a top hat to protests to be classy.

There were some frog people and some adorable froggy beanies but the person wearing a blowup horse and the Lafayette impersonator were the best dressed imo. 😊

Not a troll, not throwing cold water. Just wondering why more are not involved. I mean what are you not understanding about the need to get out and do something!

Aw man... Robert DeNiro just dropped a video greeting to the Minnesota rally. I'm misty-eyed.

Woo!! Just got back from a local protest that was still going strong when I left. Lots of people honking and waving at us. And of course, people also flipping us off and being assholes. Funniest thing I saw, though - a lady in a car waving at us while a sullen looking teenage boy in the passenger seat flipped us off. Hate to have dinner at their house.

I just got back from mine.

I've been going to the giant Austin NKD events, but this time around I went to my local Round Rock one. Austin's is being staged at Auditorium Shores instead of the Capitol, and the logistics of getting in and out are harder there.

We had about 400, give or take. Not bad, I suppose, for Williamson County, which has been kind of a GOP stronghold for a long time. This end of the county, though, as it's essentially become part of Austin, has blued up quite a bit.

Speaking of Unitarians, the best speaker at No Kings Round Rock was the local Unitarian minister. She was terrific.

Caltrans installed metal gates at the entrances to the 101 Freeway in downtown Los Angeles to keep protesters off the freeway.

I’m back … with apologies for my bitching and moaning this AM. We went to the NO KINGS protest at the intersection of Reisterstown and Old Court, in Pikesville, MD. The very organized organizers said there were 250 of us. Lots of attention and honking happened. Almost all positive. Just a couple handfuls of Neanderthals. (All due apologies to actual Neanderthals.) Baltimore County Police proved trustworthy and low-key, as I expected. And they must be taking a big, relieved breath, as we were at an intersection of four lanes, plus turn lanes, in each direction. (Site of many crashes.) Yay, to everypony coming out in one piece.

How are the big ones going? Fuck Trump. Fuck ICE. Fuck this fuckety fucking Earth Two. My knees hurt, but it was overall a good couple hours.

I do like how the map of events overlaps almost entirely with the continental United States.
