I discovered a new to me podcast on YouTube called Hysteria. Political in the good way. They have a segment called "This Fuckin' Guy". They feature the usual suspects: JD Vance, Clarence Thomas, Moscow Mitch. But the ladies also get the This Fuckin'' Guy treatment (yay equality!). Ladies like MTG and Phyllis Schlafly. I've been listening all afternoon.
The morning that the first photo was taken, each one of those women thought to herself, "Now where did I put my patriarch-smashing hat? Ah, there it is!"
God, Goddess, Gaia, Galaxy bless every one of them!
Let me get this straight. You not only cite the Dred Scott decision, but then a 1939 ruling that is the opposite what you think? I'm not even slightly surprised at the Republicans' inability to do this. They are totally incompetent and they're going to try to wear us down with quantity instead of quality in their Lolsuits.
Democrats need to understand we’re in a goddamned propaganda war. Don’t believe me? Ask yourself why Biden had to drop out but a 34 count convicted felon rapist with 3 other indictments didn’t?
Biden didn't have to drop out. He did so of his own volition. Sure he was nudged, but he could have dug in his heels. Watching him this afternoon in PGH confirms my belief that it was for the best. He has cemented his legacy as a fine man.
Darling husband and I just finished dinner. There was leftover cashew ricotta, and we have a great abundance of the oyster mushrooms he foraged. Those were sautéed with organic spinach, and laid onto a whole wheat pizza crust I made yesterday. The crust was brushed with olive oil, the cashew ricotta almost covering one half, and the spinach-mushroom mixture atop the ricotta. I folded over and pinched the edges of the crust to form calzone, with a few slashes on top to allow steam to escape. We baked it on our pizza stone. It was fantastic.
When next I open the computer, we'll be back at the pied-à-terre in the east village. Yes, he will drive carefully; this is one of those drinking holidays. See you later, beloved Wonketteers. Stay safe.
I can see Lucy Bambace punching people on the nose. She was an Italian lady who learned how to fight with her brothers so she could defend herself. I have Italians in my ancestry. We don't take no shit from nobody.
Here is another one: Ella May Wiggins. She was credited with being the first labor folk music artists by
She organized a racially integrated union while pregnant, after bearing nine children of which five were alive when she assassinated in public. Shot dead in the street with plenty of witnesses. She was murdered in cold blood while pregnant.
Woody Guthrie called her the mother of modern folk music. Pete Seeger learned her songs.
I have read and believe, but have been unable to verify, that Trump stood over there and just said filthy lies while his mic was off. About Biden's family, and you know Trumpian filth. No one could hear but the ""journalist"" and Biden.
This is why Harris wanted mics on. Because imagine having to listen to him saying hideous things while trying to respond to his previous bullshit.
The debate tactics were a huge success because an audience would have responded to Trump's tactics. A mic would expose them.
Coked up Johnny Cash for Labor Day.

All the cool kids were in Pittsburgh today!
Josh Shapiro is the real deal. Happy he's my governor.

Basically, they cited a 1939 decision that said that even if someone's parents were "aliens", if they were born in the US, they are US citizens.
Flooding the zone with shit.

Don't kid yourself, and don't minimize his sacrifice. He did dig in his heels, he desperately wanted to beat Trump himself.
He didn't jump, he was pushed.
So you're calling Biden a liar.
Biden is a hero who did the right thing when he was cornered. You are making him into the weakling.
He said exactly what had to be said. The ONLY REASON you're going to have a chance to vote for Kamala is because of Joe's strategic scheming.
I'm saying you owe him better.
I am not the one saying he is weak enough to be pushed. I'm the one saying he was strong enough to jump. Maybe read the actual words of your own post.
Read the history when it's written.
Biden had to drop out because wealthy Democratic donors panicked and pushed him out.
Republican donors didn't do that.
Yep.
But then he smoked them, making Harris his legacy.
My yard sign is delayed now.
Mme VP will never get favorable treatment from legacy media, like Biden before her.

That sounds great!
Thanks Robyn! I always look forward to Wonkette posts on rights of all kinds on America's Labor Day.

oh, and
THANK YOU AND HAPPY LABOR DAY!
What an amazing list! Thank you so much!

I don’t care how old he is, if Scranton Joe were still running, I’d vote for him.
I would as well, but I'm glad he isn't.
Oh so would I. Against any Republican, not just Trump.
I'm just angry that not snapping back fast enough against a firehose of lies disqualifies you from the Presidency.
Legacy media has jumped the shark.

But of course the "journalist". stays silent.
I hate to be the person who does this, but that photograph is actress Marietta Canty, not Harriet.
No shame in pointing out an oversight. If Robyn sees this, I'm sure she'd be glad you did.
test?
hey! It's back on!!!
Thanks Robyn, I would have felt bad forgetting these folks today.
