I thought nothing could make me love Jonathan Banks more, TIL I SAW THIS FILM!!!!!!!!!!

Not surprisingly, that's Jonathan Banks' first film listed on IMdB ("appearing as John Banks"). He was a 27 year-old at the time, playing a 17 year-old kid.

Ta, Robyn. I guess your standards for "cinematic masterpiece" and mine differ. And no way I'm watching anything from Grease 2. bowling day or not.

Two different groups of friends have been major Grease 2 boosters.

I shared a car with my boyfriend and his band to a wedding upstate and we listened to the cast album of Grease 2 from Manhattan to Oneida, NY

I attended a science fiction convention that was sharing hotel space with a bowling convention.

By Sunday morning, we were all singing, "What can you do with a drunken bowler?"

Growing up in the UK I have never heard of Linda's Menstruation film. I had a single parent dad who gave me a book called " How Babies are Made" and that was it. Oh, and a film at school about rabbits having sex

I unexpectedly got the rest of the day off from my jerb, so I am going to actually watch Grease 2 with an open mind. I haven't seen it in years. But even if it's as bad as everyone thinks, I love a bad movie, so win/win for me!

I do not need 3 months of Nazi bullshit, but if Nick Fuentes wants to turn Trump's campaign into a full on Nuremberg Rally I suspect that would be even worse for his chances.

You hate to see things like this happen to good people.

So, when's lunch?

Donnie will be grateful for the chance to distance himself from these cretins - and I think they know it. I'm sure they'll vote for him anyhow, on the reasonable assumption that he's lying.

What if I don't want to give to an ActBlue general fund? Where is the site to go to for a list of D candidates in Congress this year? Or governors?

Mx.le Maerin's Luxury Comedy's avatar

Dunno either but I hear ya. I already get so much ActBlue spam, I shudder to think what would happen if I actually gave them monies

JoannaJeannineJanet's avatar

Similar question: can anyone suggest candidates we approve of who particularly need cash?

Also ActBlue. Virtually all Dem candidates are on there, you just have to look for them by name or district/state/etc.

Here's some fun bowling trick shots. These guys have a bit of frat boy energy, but I really enjoyed the inventiveness and awesomeness of the things they pulled off (even if I can see how they might've set some of them up to increase their chances). I especially liked the bowling at the skateboard park.

Here's some every day life trick shots which they've cleverly scripted as if it's ordinary. (there's an outtake reel in another video which shows some of their failed attempts) Anyway, this stuff is like catnip to me, as I love those perfect fit videos and still shots.

"Judy Garland’s daughter Lorna Luft"

`

Years ago, we were watching TV over my grandparents' house, and Lorna Luft was on, and my Grandfather walked into the room.

Grandpa: Who's that?

My sister: Lorna Luft -- Judy Garland's daughter, Liza Minnelli's sister.

Grandpa [listens for a minute, then]: She hasn't got it.

Sister: The sound quality in this video is very poor.

Grandpa: I know that. I can hear that. She hasn't got it.

So here's a number from ... a dystopian prog-metal musical? Plot is a SciFi chestnut (a Skynet-type computer, put in charge of everything, decides that the human race is too much trouble to keep around, and the humans have to do something about it) but the vocals here really are extraordinary. (Not entirely surprising: the cast is a who's who of metal royalty.) The lead singer (with the wires) is the computer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9AAXtUdM7xE&t=0s

You haven't heard anything like it, I guarantee.

Bowling Day?

Obviously, you're not a golfer.
