I was in a work accident when I was young, and when they finished putting it back together my right foot is an inch shorter and 1/2 inch narrower than my left foot. I was buying a pair of ski boots a couple years later, found a pair of 12's. Lange boots, lime green and the salesman said "let me measure your feet, first". I said ok and gave him my left foot to measure. Then he said ok, let me check the right foot, he was thorough. I told him, That's ok if it fits my left foot, it'll fit my right. So now he's curious and he measures my right foot. He looked up at me with a puzzled expression and said "your right foot is a size shorter than your left foot?" I said, "yes it is, long story. That pair of 12's will fit just fine." He said, "cash or credit card?" and sold me the only pair of lime green ski boots I've ever seen in my life!
