Didn't Todd Blanche once have a neck? His head is now sinking into his shirt collar, in the mode of MAGA men like Rudy and Trump himself--men who also once had necks and no longer do.

This is physical proof: becoming Trump's troll has costs. You will look like what you have decided to be. A troll.

Madison: Think we need to add something about felons, insurrectionists, and sexual predators being excluded from the Office?

Washington: Srsly?

Franklin: As if. (chuckles)

Madison: Yeaaah, my bad. What was I thinking?

The only advantage I see to this is that constantly calling him a convicted felon will drive his batshit crazy followers batshit crazy because they're all thin-skinned cretins.

Why didn't Merchan just delay the prison term until DfT is out of office?

Maybe because then he knew he'd literally try to burn down all the laws and the buildings with the laws in them to STAY in office

New entry for the Wonkette Style Guide:

FORMS OF ADDRESS

Elected officials with felony convictions

AP, Chicago, MLA, and APA style guides provide little guide, but following the Wonkette principle of calling BS the following forms of address are recommended:

>Convicted Felon Present Donald Trump

The following are acceptable shortened forms of address:

>President Felon

>The Convicted Felon President

>Felon-in-Chief

or simply

>The Felon

Former elected officials with felony convections:

Here care is needed to make clear that while elected officials routinely become former elected officials, a felony record is permanent. The Wonkette suggests:

>Ex-President Felon Donald Trump

>The Felon Former President Donald Trump

Former President and Current Felon Donald Trump

Example: The ex-president felon Donald Trump was seen recently wandering around the golf course at Mar-a-Lago in his bathrobe.

Related usages: The Felon House (form. the White House).

This may look like a win from within the legal profession since at least on paper Trump's a "convicted felon" now, but from outside that profession, it just seems pointless. He's a convicted felon with the understanding that that title doesn't mean a damned thing if you're wealthy and powerful enough. It reinforces the strong suspicion almost everybody has that there are two systems of justice: one for "normals" and another for the rich and powerful. In effect, the concept of law becomes purely nominal if you're high and mighty enough. Donald Trump has been shown in no uncertain terms that he is, in fact, above the law. Watch what he does with that information over the next four years. Americans should count themselves very lucky if they ever get to vote again.

"Former and future president Daryl Dongerson will be the first convicted felon to fart up the Oval Office, with a sentence of Big Fat Nothing."

I would have preferred to see the Fulvous Flatulence either in Riker's or wearing an orange jumpsuit that clashes with his natural color picking up used condoms in Manhattan's alleys. Even so, with all of the efforts by Mooseballs Mussolini and his crack (smoking) legal team to prevent it, he will *always* be a convicted felon, and no POTUS superpowers can change that fact.

"to get Stormy Daniels to not talk about her disgusting, rawdog sexual encounter in 2006 with the then-sexagenarian father of five who had a wife and newborn at home"

The asshat has never been able to keep his pecker in his pants, especially with the little lady recovering at home from just giving birth to one of his spawn.

-----

"how he told her “you remind me of my daughter,” like that was supposed to be some kind of turn-on"

Maybe not a turn-on for Stormy, but the Mango Malignancy *is* turned-on by wet dreams of boning his daughter. I wonder if he mentioned any names while Ms Daniels was being kinda, sorta sexually assaulted, but I'll bet that if so he didn't say Stormy, but Ivanka.

-----

"he was “posing on the bed”"

IDK what the problem is here, the Pumpkin Pestilence has always been a poseur.

-----

"And by this election, evangelicals had fallen head-over-heels in love with Trump"

"And by this election, [American pseudo] evangelicals had fallen head-over-heels in love with Trump" (FIFY)

The correction is due to the fact that there are evangelicals who actually are true Christians in the US, those who not only talk the talk, but also walk the walk: i.e. the late Pres Carter. "American evangelicals" have perverted the teachings of the Christ to fit their preferred narrative, and are neither evangelical nor Christian.

-----

"to ramble-gripe about his sentence of NOTHING"

IMO, this is one of two reasons why SCOTUS wouldn't hear the case. The only penalty imposed on the Sociopathic Marigold Swamp Monster was that his felony convictions will remain on his record -- and stepping in to overturn a conviction that entailed him suffering nothing more than a slap on the wrist would only serve to further tear down what little credibility SCOTUS still has. The other reason is that the Sandstone Snowflake has been running to SCOTUS to save his sorry ass a tad bit too often, and Roberts is losing interest in putting his legacy on the line -- again -- for the sake of the unappreciative Desert Sand Demi-Demon. The Court's honor is already buried in shit and Roberts is beginning to realize that he has to do something to prevent the shit from getting any deeper.

-----

“This has been a very terrible experience."

"Golly and gee whiz Sir, please accept our apologies. We didn't think it would be that bad. We should have made sure that your trial was a more pleasant experience for you; after all, you're the real victim here."

-----

"from what I read"

Who rewrote whatever he was concerned about down to a fifth grade reading level so he could at least partially understand?

-----

"think about it, legal expenses"

I'm confused as to what the MAGA oberster Fuhrer is talking about. His legal fees have been being paid by either Wingnut Welfare (paid by those who think a "billionaire" needs their money more than they do) or by one of his personal piggybanks, like the RNC, or not paid at all.

-----

"it’s been a political witch hunt done to damage my reputation"

Sorry, but your reputation can't be damaged much more than you have already caused it to be: tarnished and dented beyond repair.
