It’s just maddening that such a large swath of people have such a problem accepting that LGBTQIA’s+ people exist, are human beings who deserve respect and do not pose a threat to them. Find another place to put your energy that helps make life better. Attacking companies who embrace inclusion because you hate people different from yourself is a really vile way to live.
What makes me so mad is these people are filled with hate and bile for of all people Dylan Mulaney, who is a complete and total sweetheart! I so hope that she stays positive and doesn’t let these bastards get her down.
These poor, confused souls. They don’t know what they’re mad at, or how to process their feelings, and are never quite sure which people they need to hurt to feel better. I’m quite sure the highest executives at AB are still wealthy, and will get a massive bonus this holiday season. Who did Walsh hope to hurt? The people who bottle, distribute, deliver and sell Bud Light? Those people? Thousands of Blue collar Americans who had nothing to do with the promo can? This is why people like Trump are so dangerous and toxic. They need to cause pain, in any direction, to retaliate for their feelings of inadequacy and lack of joy. Just go away already.
Interesting that Matt Walsh actually knows that Bud light is indeed part of foreign compnay. So where were the boycotts all these years. Especially when there is Coors Molson Yuengling etc. etc. fore the culturted souse.
Ta, Evan. Were it not for you, I would have no idea who this Matt Walsh person is. Hmmm, maybe I shouldn't be thanking you. Nah, I love your writing and you write so beautifully about all these crazoids.
I'm just gonna put this out there and I suppose that it will generate some backlash and that's OK too. There have been lots of reports lately that purchase (and you'd assume, consumption) of craft beers have really plummeted of late. And what I'm wondering is could that be because many craft beers, by and large, suck?
As a homebrewer that got started because craft beer is/was expensive back in the day(everything was expensive on enlisted pay). I can definitely agree that large potion of the craft isle is just douches wanting to show off/ marketing to this desire and glad to see the trend die down a bit.
Case in point: the grocery store I work in sells Cheerwine Ale. What posessed someone to combine those two flavors? Yes, this trend is getting out of hand.
I do not drink at all, but I can tell you part of it.
It has to do with rich white faux hipster fratboys gentrfying anything they can. They took over Williamsburg (Brooklyn) and Portland (Oregon) and some other places.
And when the markets were full in those place, they decapmed to smaller cities.
And as they had no skills, they went with what they know best - BEER - and what goes well with drinking beer? Creating an über-bier so they can have their ''craft'' and get blitzed too.
I have talked to a couple of people who know beers and they tend to say that most of these are CRAP beers, and the craft is scamming people to think their swill is better than even imported beers.
I once had a full-of-themselves coworker tell me that Heineken sucks, and I should try some locally brewed chocolate peanut butter stout.
I told him that if he thinks some candy-flavored concoction tases better than an actual beer like Heineken, that I never have to pay attention to his opinion of anything ever again.
Apparently young people really don't drink as much as older generations. And beer has gotten fucking expensive. I've certainly cut back now that the closest Trader Joe's (a great place for inexpensive alcohol) is 75 miles from my town.
I think it says way more about the product than it does about conservatives in that they had some success. Conservatives are typically full of shit regarding boycotts. Big talk, no action. But they in fact found it easy to walk away from Bud Light and I can understand why. I mean, what exactly is the difference between a Bud Light and a Miller Light. Not enough to care. Nobody is drinking either for the prestige.
“I want them to care about ME and MY area of the world,”
The patron saint of white Jesus really gives the game away here. Companies must cater to them and them alone and fuck anyone else. Don’t even acknowledge that people who are not white cisgendered conservatives even exist.
If you want beer that tastes like pisswater and is aligned with your views, the Coors family has been putting dark money into far right extremist movements and think tanks for decades.
I knew this was gonna be over soon when I saw the Peyton Manning/Emmitt Smith Bud Light commercial last week or the week before. My bet is Kid Rock saw it, said "hey guys, you know I can be bought," and will have one out pretty soon too. Anheuser-Busch gots the $$$ to spread around to various right-wing or right-wing-adjacent influencers, and money buys a lot of love from those folks.
Wow that is some riveting and, more importantly, very enlightening programming over at Fucker Stream. Definitely heading over immediately to sign up. Not!
(Hey, when's the last time you heard a "not" joke?)
I understand this story is of vital national importance, but I cannot get beyond: "You should have Bud Light drums stacked in your garage."
Sigh. Beer comes in kegs, it even comes in barrels, but it ain't never no how anytime come in no DRUMS.
I see your mistake. Bud Light is not beer.
Carry on.
OK, but ASIDE from that...
Since Bud Light is equivalent to toxic waste, it ought to be stored in drums.
Then again, toxic waste probably tastes better than Bud Light.
Good to see Tucker doing so well, meeting with important people, tackling the real issues, and sitting at a huge, ostentatious table.

I still don't understand why anyone was harmed by giving Dylan Mulvaney a can of beer?
It's the "keep 'em out of the bathroom" argument- "She kept her d*** so she can r*** your kids!!!"
What makes me so mad is these people are filled with hate and bile for of all people Dylan Mulaney, who is a complete and total sweetheart! I so hope that she stays positive and doesn’t let these bastards get her down.
Damn auto correct I meant Mulvaney.
You're lucky. Mine corrected to "Finnigan."
President Biden would like to call "Malarkey" on you, but his phone autocorrected.

Also see Asheville, NC. You can't run an entire economy on craft beer, and what will they do when it all comes crashing down?

Miller gives me diarrhea. So there that
I would like to have this kind of time on my hands.
I think Matt Walsh has the hots for Dylan and is mad about it.

Just sayin.’
And now with MolsonCoors, they can put dark money into Canada too.
