Thank you, Martini -- now I have Perez Prado (and Lou Bega) stuck in my head, and I ain't mad about it.

A little bit of ocelot in my life

A little bit of elephant by my side

A little bit of otter is all I need

A little bit of sand cat is what I see

A little bit of sea lion in the sun

A little bit of owl all night long ...

I used to work with a lady who had an ocelot in her apartment. A friend wearing a rabbit fur hat came to visit and see it. The ocelot was nowhere to be found until it suddenly leaped onto the back of the chair she was sitting in, snatched the hat from her head, took it into the master bedroom, and tore the hat apart under the bed.

However, that was not enough for coworker to donate the ocelot. The ocelot had taken to rolling billiard balls in the hallway upstairs in the condo building where she lived (she was on the second floor). The noise caused neighbors to complain, and she finally contacted an organization that would rescue the cat and take it where it could live and thrive. Bull true!

Monsieur Grumpe's avatar

A crazy rich women on the Archer TV series had an ocelot. It always chewed up Archer and peed everywhere but he seemed to like it.

marydn's avatar

Everything wrong with Archer can be traced back to his mother. Oi, that woman.

Geez, that ProPublica thing about mail-in ballots. Certified mail, WTF? I think this might not even be directly related to ratfucking the election, except in the general sense that that these fascists want to paint democracy as generally unworkable, by making it so. Also I think Trump has a bug up his ass about mail-in ballots, like he does about wind turbines, and catapults on aircraft carriers, and a bunch of other things.

Eric Schmitt went on several right talk shows after his Jack Smith gottcha fiasco. They were patting Eric on the back and telling him what great job he did.

"Schmitt later went on “The Charlie Kirk Show,” where one of the hosts praised him for the “great moment.” “Good for you on that,” host Andrew Kolvet said.

“Gotta give you some flowers for that, sir,” he said, saying Smith “sat there acting dumbfounded and completely clueless.”"

Creating their own reality. They know it's bullshit but if they repeat it enough it becomes truth to the morons who support them.

UncleTravelingMatt's avatar

For some reason, every time I have to deal with the bullshit that arises from (or leads to) misdemeanor cattle calls in Moscow (University of Idaho students) and Colfax (Washington State University students) I remember that there is a nuclear reactor in Portland being operated by undergrads.

FrancescoTheMagnificent's avatar

I'm wondering if the local court there gathers all of those cases together & hears them at the same time for convenience' sake.

"Wednesday afternoon Cow Calendar! Part 52! Step up & sign in with the clerk! Wipe your shoes first!"

UncleTravelingMatt's avatar

Yes, that's why they do it. It's pretty common. Get all the prosecutors and defense lawyers in the same place all at once and just grind through all the misdemeanor cases. Typically, all the people represented by Public Defenders are scheduled to appear for a pretrial at, say 930, then all the people represented by private counsel are scheduled to appear at 1100. It ends up being a lot of sitting around, but it's better scheduling solution than the alternatives. Handling misdemeanor criminal matters is all about managing volume.

FrancescoTheMagnificent's avatar

In NY Supreme, we have regular IAS Parts (Individual Assignment System), where the trial judges & their staff run everything, and DCM Parts (Division of Case Management), for volume litigation. E.g., uncontested matrimonials, slip and falls, MTA cases & auto accidents. For roughly 10 years, I've been running the pre-trial calendars for the three DCM/City of New York Parts. Every claim filed against the City on the island of Manhattan has had to go through me from commencement through note of issue (close of discovery). I've been running them in the afternoons for rotating groups of three judges per term.

I reach.

Good morning Wonks.

What's this I'm seeing that's giving me wave upon wave of sublime satisfaction? It appears the majority of the populations sentiment is turning against the fucking fucks for all the lying and corruption. They have real issues with reading a room and they've been real slow to recognize that truth and facts matter especially when it's fucking obvious they are lying. It's as if they know they've lost everything and the only thing they have left is their empty lies. Everyone sees this now - even the worst of the MAGA idiots with one brain cell functioning are sick of their shit.

And those campaign ads! Don't know who's creating these killer adds but all of them deserve a CLEO.

I can't feel even the slightest bit sad for them. You got what ya voted for ya stupid fuck now deal with it and use your fucking head from now on. I'm not the least bit mad at them...can ya tell?
