I think you can find large swaths of this country where people would be glad to unload their homes for $70,000 - like, say, upstate NY. And you certainly don't have to build a new house....
But, it's hard to buy a home at any price if one can't find dependable, well-paying employment, too ( unless you're independently wealthy ). That's the whole point of that para in the Rude Pundit's piece - and what Rump fails to understand.
An interesting comparison can be made by running, side by side, interviews with President Kennedy and our current lump in the White House. You can't even believe they are the President of the same country.
