Oh, dear. That's too bad. I've always enjoyed him as an actor. Well, he's only in the first episode (and I think given your history, you might enjoy how he goes out - maybe), so don't feel like you have to avoid the series. :)
The reverse of my situation. I am darker than the rest of my family, could pass for say Turkish when well-tanned in the summer. People would ask if I was adopted. I liked that, given my family's Southern Gothic tendencies.
Oh yeah, I've read a couple of interviews with him on the subject. Given his side of the story, I can totally see why he's so flatly against any of this. And it would be interesting to hear his take on the series, but I'm pretty sure we never will because he's so stubborn about avoiding anything adapted from his work.
But I just found it rather dickish that they didn't acknowledge him at all, even if he didn't want to be involved. Like "adapted from the original series by Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons", instead of attributing it solely to Dave. I wonder if Dave was alright with that, or whether he tried to advocate for a fucking credit, at the very least.
You clearly don't know anything about me if you think I would EVER argue for cops having fucking assault weapons. Who the fuck do you think you're talking to, anyway? I don't think cops should have fucking guns AT ALL.
I agree. From Hell was ridiculous, but then it was based on a ridiculous premise so I'd say at least half the blame rests with Moore on that one. Never saw League, and Constantine was the film that finally broke the back of my Keanu fandom. Just dreck.
While even Moore admitted that the premise of From Hell was unlikely, he at least had a narrative reason for it and the story in his comic was well researched and extremely well presented. The film..? Uh.. not.. really.
i'm french. i was born in france, educated there, left at 26. i've lived in california since 1994. i learned about tulsa about 10 years ago. there is very little excuse for not having ever heard about it.
It sounds like you never learned beyond Mendel's pea plants on the complexity of genetics. There are also epigenetics - the environment in-utero that can affect which genes express and which don't. In addition, there are often multiple genes on different chromosomes that play into any characteristics, not just two (recessive/dominant). There are also variants that can appear like recessive characteristics, which can result in fair children of darker ethnic parents. My mother's side is Mexican and Native (Hopi), yet looking at me, you'd never guess because it's not that simple.
I lived and taught in Northeast Oklahoma and small towns were the only thing around. All had some kind of sundown law. I got as far as the Tulsa area but still know I'm surrounded by diehard Trumpers. It's been very disappointing to see people I've known forever support Trump. They never grew up. So much hate around here disguised as religion. I'm glad you got out. Dont let it suck you back in!

They didn't have to deal with him to give him a credit. I'm surprised at how resistant production companies are to giving people credit, sometimes.
Mmmm that's not so much a spoiler as a teaser :)
What the hell did he do? Anything specific or just generally an asshole?
In fucking Las Vegas? Where they had that fucking massacre?
