I kind of think our dog would have liked the swing. She HATED being off the ground (in her last months she needed help going down the stairs and I couldn't lift her so I got her a sling to support her so she didn't fall when we went out and she hated it) but once she learned that the swing was a nice sofa and relaxing, I bet she would have liked it!

A dog in a sling

Is my new favorite thing

He has a chill fling

In a laundry room swing.

And when he is done

With his laundry room fun

He whips off his eyewear

And goes for a run.

I just saw a headline saying Trump wants to change the name of the Persian Gulf to the Gulf of Arabia. And no one says shit. The sanewashing is out of control.

Newsom (has he forgotten that Trump calls him Newscum?) is bending the knee. Gee, what a surprise. He knows damn well that there is no practical way to tariff or otherwise boost American film making, so that's either a big wet kiss to Trump's ass, or there's a method to Newsom's madness. Ugh, either way it's sickening. And within days, Trump may very well "walk back" (one of the media's favorite terms for flip-flopping) that dribbling bullshit about refurbishing Alcatraz.

Have any of the Trump faithful noticed yet that for a president obsessed with cutting government spending, he's burning money like an old monkey with a can of lighter fluid and a Zippo?

Hi pals. Apropos of nothing, here's a Buster Keaton/Twilight Zone episode which is oddly prescient (big woo, as we would have said in the 70s.) Anyway, enjoy & take care :) https://pluto.tv/us/on-demand/series/5ef0d81d146bc5001ae9f7d0/season/3/episode/63b46ffc1bdba1000710b65d

re: Alcatraz. The stupid, it burns! I don't know which movie Trump was told about, because he sure never watched any of them. As for Kudlow and Bondi... straight Fs in US Geography and arithmetic.

The delicate network of air traffic control has been broken. Just in time for summer vacation to become a bloodbath.

Alcatraz was closed 60 years ago because it was more expensive to operate than any other federal prison. It would cost and arm and a leg to renovate and the other arm and leg to operate. But it has caught the mango felon;s imagination because it seems like such a cruel and painful place, Trump is the sort of person who would think that execution by wood chipper would be a great idea because at heart he is a sick fuck.

Harvard should grade that letter as if it was a term paper. Circle words in red, highlight entire passages as incoherent, give it a flaming F, and mail it back.

Turn Alcatraz into a "human" zoo, put the entire tfg administration in it. Twilight Zone did it in the 60s, which is when Alcatraz shut down.

"KUDLOW: The president suggested over the weekend maybe rebuild and reopen Alcatraz. Put them there, in the middle of the Pacific Ocean somewhere."

Cue footage of every fisherman in the Wharf laughing uproariously at the thought of a speck of birdsplat in the Bay being ANYTHING like the gutroll of the Pacific just s dozen miles to the west. Dude, Pacific waves have traveled SIX THOUSAND MILES to get to California, picking up strength with every mile. Wave action in those waters can break bones.

Gah! That moronic Circus Peanut can't even watch movies right. The claim of the corrupt prison warden in Escape From Alcatraz that Morris and his accomplices drowned was supposed to come across as an OBVIOUS AND SELF-SERVING LIE..It wasn't exactly subtle.

But of course Trump always identifies with the corrupt and incompetent villain, doesn't he?

Building a casino on Alcatraz was one of the whackier plans floated in the past for Alcatraz. Alcatraz is now a tourist attraction and when that peters out the birds will finish reclaiming their rock paradise. The only real question is did the trio survive. I commuted on the Larkspur ferry to the City for a couple years and went right past "the Rock" and Angel Island, most fun I ever had on a commute! Yes they survived. We know how and where they got into the water but after that, it's a mystery. I think they were fished out by a waiting boat and taken up into the Sacto river Delta. From there they melted away into the pages of history.

Mythbusters did an episode on that once, where they made replicas of the homemade equipment used and tried it themselves. Fact is, the only "evidence" that was ever found was abandoned gear and a total lack of re-apprehension. Which is also what you would expect for a SUCCESSFUL escape, especially if the escapees were clever enough to chuck their gear back into the Bay to wash up somewhere else. Which they were. In fact, that their discarded gear was found in a beach rather than carried inland a bit and hidden somewhere is suspicious in itself.
