Well me being a West Coast girl, I have to assume that he prefers Pac.

I know, I saw an article today that sounded SHOCKED that apparently 37-47% of liberals (can't remember the exact number) would consider ending a friendship if the other party voted for Trump, but only 17% of Trump supporters would...And I'm baffled - if one of my friends joined the KKK, the friendship would immediately be terminated and nobody would question my reasoning. But deciding not to associate with someone who voted for a racist, openly misogynist, homophobic, corrupt moron somehow makes ME the intolerant one????Seriously, I'm starting to think that Bush stealing Florida way back when actually caused a rift in the space-time continuum and we're the poor hapless bastards stuck in the Bizzarro-timeline...somewhere there is a reality where Gore won, we're all in Tesla's and NASA runs entirely on renewable energy.

yeah, i didnt watch the IL people video, but from the article description, the claims are bullshit...i work at a private health provider (in IL)...my dept is housing...in my immediate grouping are 36 clients--97% of whom have been deemed disabled, some for decades (the rest are waiting for the same adjudication)--and all of those folks have either medicaid or combo medicaid/medicare...they have no trouble with services, payment, or anything else

private providers were lately slow to be paid, but that was more a function of gov asshole 'wrongway' rauner attempting to sabotage IL and turn it into KS...however, the state legis passed a budget with an increase in IL income tax from 3.5 to 4.9% (whoa, hold onto your pennies!)--which of course rauner vetoed and the rubes pissed and moaned about that extra $37 a year they wont have for meth...but the legis put the override to the veto, and all is better (theoretically)

the biggest problem we have here is that IL privatised out much of its medicaid admin to two companies (in my dealings, anyway) that shall not remain nameless, because i refuse to protect the guilty-of-fucking-us parties, namely MOLINA and MERIDIAN, and they get to take their chunk out like all good middlemen do, and how do they make that chunk bigger, why of course by denying services occasionally, but there are ways to fuck them back, so it works out (mostly)

anyway, like all short stories gone long and wrong, the point may have been lost that the claims of the people from IL are BULLSHIT....thank you, as you were

i wish i had $200 for every pair of $200 sunglasses i've lost (or had stolen)...i'd have a lotta $200

i cant speak for lambs, but have you ever had a pair of $200 sunglasses?...if you dont lose them (and in a very short time, you get very jealously protective of them, believe me), they work and feel much better and last much longer than your basic pair o foster brooks (grants?--whatever)

There are severalof these Medicaid HMO monstrosities. There's aetna, blue cross, Illinicare, etc. Meridian has at least been the easiest to deal with. Aetna told me the other day they had no way to bill for a newborn's medication on mom's plan, something we've been able to do on medicaid for at least the 15 years I've been a retail pharmacist. They suggested Mom take the 5 day old baby to the ER to get his vitamin D drops.

Nah, us pharmacists are giving most of the vaccines now, and it sucks. As a colleague once said, if I wanted to touch patients, i'd have beome a nurse.

Chalkey's son lost coverage because the governor cut $1.6 billion from Medicaid due to budget duress. Under the GOP plan, Illinois stands to lose $40 billion in federal Medicaid assistance. The notion that a) The ACA had anything to do with Illinois cutting medicaid funding, and b) a repeal that will see a 10 year $40 billion reduction in Medicaid will somehow lead Chalkey to get her son's Medicaid back is the worst form of GOP dishonest, deceptive, bullshit, disinformation there is. The fact that the Federal Government is sponsoring these lies is even more disgusting:

jayzuus...i knew there were probably more than just the two i mentioned...and yes, meridian is ok, but it's mostly because we either ignore them when convenient, or treat them like idiots and mock them anytime they think they wanna pull any crap like what you described with aetna

we need to start crawling up the asses of our state reps and sens and tell them to end the BS with the private medicaiders
