So the smell of death and mildew that seemed to be emanating from the kitchen below has been replaced with the smell of a strong cleaner. Guessing downstairs neighbor just got around to cleaning their fridge after the power outage.
I think a very elderly person lives there, I never see or hear them and their packages tend to sit in front of their door for a few days.
Maybe they have a helper who is there just a couple times a week. I'm just guessing based on those clues.
Glad the dead smell went away, last time I encountered it was in NY and the neighbor one floor below had died in their bathtub. That smell sticks with you.
I'm sorry, but I must share a horrifying realization with you all. It is rapidly becoming apparent that AI (or what the industry refers to as AI) is not living up to the hype, that it won't be able to replace the human workforce in any meaningful way and the initial excitement is already giving way to the sea of red ink associated with it. However, there is a secondary use, people have been enthusiastically using it for porn.
And I thought to myself "would people really put that many resources into data centers just for porn?" Deep down you know the answer as well as I, AI will never die.
the real world is about to intrude on the AI dreams, as critical supply shortages like transformers for the electricity rear their heads and work on all the new server farms starts to stall out cause no parts to build with.
No more "bathroom issues" for my mom....no more bathroom issues for my mom......
Already cancelled the spontaneous dinner (fig and honey goat cheese sandwiches) after spotting the first figs of the Season for that reason. Wanted to try to sneak out on my own briefly to just Get the Fuck Out of the house, do a little (gasp! I know! Selfish) me shopping, but she wants to come along......
So far she claims it's ok. I won't be able to shake her, so maybe I will get further than a mile......
