Just gonna make America great again here Outside Congressional Republicans and the hardline wingnut portion of their voter base, nobody wants the last-gasp Republican plan to kill the Affordable Care Act. A group of 10 state governors -- Republicans and Democrats both -- yesterday sent a letter to Mitch McConnell saying "Seriously. Don't do this." Virtually all the major groups with a stake in healthcare have
Apparently that's actually how they're selling it to conservative senators. "This will fuck those commie pinko liberal states of NY and CA the hardest! Come on! You know you want to!"
This map -- created by CNN dataviz wiz Sam Petulla -- shows how much each state would stand to gain or lose in federal dollars if Graham-Cassidy passed:
I don't really know anything about his history, but every stand I've heard him take, from Trump to humane treatment of animals, has been pretty spot on.
With special rules preventing a Democratic filibuster set to expire in 10 days, President Donald Trump and the GOP-led Congress aim to quickly pass the bill sponsored by Republican Sens. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina and Bill Cassidy of Louisiana. Like earlier failed attempts to replace Obamacare, it would sharply cut federal health spending and leave millions fewer Americans with insurance.
But Graham-Cassidy, through its formula for allocating that shrinking federal pie, makes unusually vivid trade-offs between states that win and lose in the process. To pass it, GOP leaders will need the votes of Republican senators whose states will receive less money so that other states can receive more.
When i pointed that out to someone I was told to stop being such a Bernie hater. I suggested that this had feck all to do with bernie and was to do with my desire to not see my son die to lack of healthcare.
Telling everyone that bullying is bad. I picture all the poor sods who had to sit through that lunch quite obviously rolling their eyes and determining what revenge they plan to exact from their respective bosses for having drawn the short straw.
I tried to find something I saw in the past 24 hours, it was a tweet from Our Revolution demanding Hillary oppose the Dakota Access Pipeline, yadda yadda. It was dated Oct. 31, 2016.
So did Bernie and the medicare for all bill spook republicans into deciding to destroy both the ACA and Medicaid? And might that be why certain "establishment dems" said defend ACA first and forget everything else for the time being?
Actions don't have consequences if you're a Republican.
Nope. He who dies with the most toys, wins, dontchaknow.

if you're a rich Republican.
Fixed that for you.
Gee, I think I'm starting to question Sanders's claim to being "progressive". Seems like every "progressive" thing he does just helps the GOP more.
Yeah, that'll get results.
