Done. I actually stopped going in there when I realized what asshats the owners are and also because if I heard the elevator version of Nearer My Lord to Thee one more time I was going to start throwing that overpriced crap they sell onto the fucking floor.

So does this opinion undermine the constitutionality of the Hyde amendment? I'd like to see SCOTUS' resolution to this little dilemma. Is it, or is it not, OK for the government to fund abortions? Just answer the question, Justice Alito: yes or no?

Doesn't affect it at all! At least, not as far as liability for the owners is concerned. Employees, on the other hand, had best keep one hand on their wallets, because who knows how far "religious" rights over their compensation extend.

I mean, for the right kind of religion. We're obviously not talking about them freaky religious types, like Quakers and Wickians and shit.

I propose two centuries of men being banned from the court. You know, for equality under the law.

Calvin Coolidge reduced deficit spending, but only because the war ended under Wilson.

yes, they all should FO&DIAF but, I am a little stabby today and especially put out with the 'I got mine' gals who never had to even bother marching for reproductive rights and now are past that time of life; who spent their whole reproductive lives not having to worry about that because their employers gave them maternity leave and who didn't have to ever miss work when they were late because abortionplexes in MY day didn't have 72 hour waiting periods. gaaaaaaah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

time to start drinking. and its only Monday, dammit.

Chief Justice Roberts and Associate Justices Alito, Scalia and Thomas were the minority who found it is perfectly OK to lie to purchase a gun. Even if you sign a form that says in BIG LETTERZ it isn't OK to lie to buy a gun.

I recommend Associate Justice Ginsberg's dissent in the Hobby Lobby case and I hope Wonkette links to it!

You know what gets to me?

The only way you can say the corporation has its owners' religious beliefs and not its own, is if you hold that the corporation is NOT A PERSON. Which of course the Court would never, ever consider saying, unless it was really really important to arrive at a predetermined outcome they wanted.
