Remember what Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer said in 2017 after Republicans successfully passed their tax scam bill through reconciliation: “Historians will mark today as one of the darkest black-letter days in the long history of the Senate.” Republicans laughed in his face.
Chuck really needs to get over his “I’m not so much angry as disappointed” schtick.
Dems are going to keep "considering" shit right up until the moment the GQP takes over and turn this country into a fascist hellhole. Then they'll be considering their own demise.
They seem to have forgotten that at the beginning of this year, the GQP was actively trying to kill them.
... exactly right. I mean, the usual suspects are threatening to take advantage of an abolished filibuster once they "regain power", and the way they do that is by assaulting voting rights, while abolishing the filibuster *now* would certainly curtail that activity. They would never win on whatever passes for a Republicon platform which is why they need to game the system (and won't pass anything having to do with reforming that system). I don't know why the Democratic Party can't follow this - they already represent millions more Americans than the Con Party. Get rid of gerrymandering and the EC... that alone could guarantee a winning streak, but doing away with the filibuster is key to ending the GQP abuse and obstruction.
Remember those courts people in the Bernie/AOC wing said didn't matter? They will sue to stop a lot of what Biden tries to do by executive action and they will win.Or did people miss the Obama years on that?
The No voters (who are from progressive districts) get to say they stood up for their principles, and the legislation passed.
Apparently their principles don't include clean water and broadband.
Literally just said he wouldn't support BBB because the poors would just use the money and time to buy drugs and go hunting. He's a monster.

They are still better off than if those years of reprieve had not occurred.
Their peanut butter cups are delicious!
As Henry Ford put it, "You can have any color you like, as long as you like black."
Boy, is that a video that wouldn’t fly today. (…and I non-ironically like Culture Club)

Sotomayor voted for Citizen's United too.
Jesus. I wish teachers, with a degree and years of experience, could make $85K! Even 12 years later.
Thanks...it relieved my personal responsibility a tad.
Well you...can't be my friend now. I dislike spastic people.
Will Joe go up and curtsy and give the thumbs down during the vote? He's equally as much of an asshole as Sinema.

So do I
