Hey, remember how a couple weeks ago we were all going to get Ebola and die when our internal organs liquefied, and we couldn't trust anything the government said, and it was time to freak the fuck out? And then suddenly it was all over and there was
It's kind of why it took ten years to get there. Rosetta had to take several swings through the inner Solar System in order to build up enough speed to catch it.
Don't give up; we need you for the fight ahead. The Republicans had every reason to be just as down in 2006 and again in 2008. But instead of inducing despair, those setbacks only spurred them to push harder. They never went away and they have continued to give us major headaches in the years since, all the while building on the few successes that they did have, advancing their support bit by bit without ever letting up. There's a lesson in there for our side.
When Thomas Eric Duncan was hospitalized in Texas, Chris Matthews said Obama had pretty much lied when he said "In the unlikely event that someone with Ebola does reach our shores, we’ve taken new measures so that we’re prepared here at home". Matthews argued "... the president said it was unlikely two weeks ago. Well, it's not the unlikely, it has happened. It's here." He's an idiot.
Chris Matthews doesn't even try to study and prepare. He just asked rambling questions, interupts everyone and (like Ronald Reagan) thinks movies are more truthful than the truth.
Yeah, we took it on the chin. And man, I get where you're coming from. But I've fought tough fights before - I've wrestled with death and I whooped his sorry ass twice. Every day since then has been a bonus, because by all rights I should have been in the cold, cold ground before I was old enough to drink.
And if we're well and truly boned, so be it. But I don't intend to roll up the tent and call it a day - I intend to go down swinging.
come on man, honey badger don't give a shit.
and we have some nasty fighting to do. turn that frown into a kick in the balls.
we need you.
Some of us have immunity. Wish that was true of more people.
But now, gum.

More proof that fear is the mind-killer.

I will never stop talking about the tan suite.
It's really a shame that it's politically advantageous only to one party when the American people LOSE THEIR MINDS.
