In 1961, the nuns found out I was a Leftie. For that school year, I wore a sign around my neck: "I am a lefty. You will NOT change me."I wasn't their favorite.

It has a very 'American Studies" ring to it. Culture's influence on America's past.

From the article, about CRT: "All they know is that it has the word “race” in it, so it must be bad."

It's also got "critical" in it. Being critical of white people = anti-white = racist. So there. And it's got "theory" in it which sound sciency. Everyboy knows science cannot be trusted. So there, again. In conclusion, everything about it is America-hating, liberal lies. The proof is in the pudding.

Can we just declare Tucker Carlson TC, which also stands for Total Crap, and define the right wing bullshit machine's attempt at redefinng critical race theory as "conspiracy racist theory".

I grew up in the Suburbs of White America and had all kinds of people tell me everything there was to know about all the other races. One day it dawned on me that these people had never spent any real time with anyone but Caucasians and really didn't know what they were talking about. The GOP trying to "explain" critical race theory are trying to pull the same sham off.

Marxism was an attempt to explain the end of the peasant system in Europe and this was after most of Europe had outlawed slavery. I wish the Right Wing would try to keep up.

Note that the WaPo had to retract parts of their article on various details.

Doesn't change the fact that Rufo is one slimy racism promoting ahole.

Yeah, Marxism is one of the topics I studied at university - it has nothing to do with critical race theory which is a whole different thing. One that should be thought about and taught rather than pretending it isn't an issue. It's like the the Republicans panicking about socialism. You don't live in a socialist country you nit wits.

What a dick…

No surprise there.

Albeit, one should expect such dick moves from a dick move, so when the WaPo writes an article like that, their material should be rock solid. It wasn't obviously.

So there is a dick problem on one side, and a "lousy journalist ethics at work" on the other side.

I think you mean Goebbels. Goering was mostly strung out on smack.

Yep.Acid was plentiful and powerful back then. I was also able to do peyotl and psilocybe, in green form in that era.

"...and while I've long argued that Democrats could do a better job at messaging, I don't think they should abandon the truth. That would make them Republicans." .*Sigh*.If the next election is going to be won or lost largely on messaging, Democrats are doomed..Please reassure me if you can.

I learned it from a cousin many years ago. Still stalls in spellcheck - but I don't care.
