Look, people who are constantly asking him for jobs in his inevitable administration, Herman Cain is not interested in your silly Muslims! They are allowed to practice their religion in private, just like Baptists or Catholics or other Christians. That's it; no serving in the judiciary for them. Just like Baptists or Catholics or other Christians? We assume so. Herman Cain will only appoint atheists to the bench, right? He doesn't want to mess with agnostics.
I remember mentioning the quoted Constitutional text to someone doing the "Obama is Muslim" schtick during the 2008 election, and got nowhere with it. Sad.
jonzin: He didn't give us a lot to go on, but I believe he's speaking about a Tampa, Florida, case. A mosque and a group signed a contract. Disputes were to go to a speciifc type of arbitration. There was a dispute, there was an arbitration, the mosque lost, now the mosque wants to go to state court.
The judge ruled that the logical first step was to see if the arbitration was property conducted per the terms of the contract.
Mr. Cain: I'm going to climb out on the limb here and say I pretty fuckin sure the Catholic Church follows Canon Law when it picks a Pope. Inside the Church, so to speak.
They've already worked their way out of that minor dilemma. Remember our nation was founded by Christians and Jews, who you may or may not be able to name, but they were there.
"There was that case in.....well, it might have been Texas, where they were going to do this thing to that other thing and they were going to maybe get some folks to try and do something to somebody........."
In the early 1800s, the Know Nothing Party built a platform on anti-Catholic bigotry. You could substitute Muslim for Catholic and not tell the difference in rhetoric.
In the early 1900s, the KKK used that same bigotry plus Jews plus blacks (of course). In the 1950s, religious hatred was in disrepute (finally!), but anti-Communism sang all the same notes. How fortunate for the TP'ers they can kick Muslims around now.

Tebow's Muslim now, too?

This is, somehow, controversial? <a href="http://www.tampabay.com/new..." target="_blank">" rel="nofollow noopener" title="http://www.tampabay.com/news/courts/civil/article...">http://www.tampabay.com/new...

At least his argument is air tight.
The TP&#039;er love the plain language of the Constitution... Well, some of it anyway. .. OK, they only like the Second Amendment.
Once the Presidency goes black, it doesn&#039;t go back.
That.Would.Be.AWESOME!

I&#039;ll wager ten bucks that while he&#039;s in prison for whatever atrocity he inevitably commits, he will convert to Islam.
i think technically that&#039;s an insult to the winged, face-ass having demon.
who is responsible for that fabulous demon?
Is there anything that can&#039;t be explained in terms of pizza?
