Wow, one minute you're teaching zit-faced kids about Scout and Jem and Atticus Finch; the next, they're doin' a common Omarosa number on you're ass.

I'm going to make a huge assumption that the school board is made up of mostly Republicans and therefore, cowardice, in the face of someone pointing out their underhanded dealings, is kinda their thing.

I assume any subject and any "leadership position" will do, so I could teach gym and be an athletics director of a high school for five years, and so long as I get the bare minimum scores--I'd be qualified!

Gotten is from Old and Middle English -- in England! -- from as early as the fourth century, and doubtless made its way in ships -- from England! -- to North America during the 1600s and 1700s. Just because you, our now-beloved overseas cousins, ditched a perfectly good word -- from England! -- that does not mean we can't keep it and use it ourselves, here in young whippersnapper America del Norte. As for the teacher, I wish she had gotten a raise.
