A Republican did a good thing today, guys. In a story that came out meremomentsafter midnight, it was revealed that Ohio Sen. Rob Portman is now in favor of gay marriage . It's true! He didn't always feel that way, but he's been thinking a lot, and talking to a lot of folks, and now he thinks it's about time we stopped with all the nonsense discrimination.
As a sort-of Christian (Unitarian Apathetic) I'd like to think that if Cheney and the Bible were your friends, they'd produce a reaction like matter and anti-matter.
Right, because there are so many more gay bars than regular night clubs, and no straight guy ever got a girl to come home with him from the club anyway. Plus also too while the wimminz are all about looks, gay men are renowned for having absolutely no standards when it comes to physical appearance.

Seriously, the utter nonsense that people come up with to try to rationalize their bigotry makes my brain hurt whenever I make the mistake of thinking about it at all.
This is the thing that annoys me most about the "It's a choice" crowd. I mean seriously, do they really think that people would choose to endure the massive piles of shit that have throughout history been dumped on gay people (e.g. the story of Alan Turing, and that's even before we get on to all the actual murders)? Do they think that buttsechs is objectively that much more pleasurable or something?
What do you mean? He's being entirely consistent with conservative principles: advocate for anything in your immediate, personal self-interest, because fuck you.
“I don’t want to force my views on others ... I just vote for legislation that does it."
Hey, it ain't actually worship. They have no idea who's behind the curtain.
Adultery never appeared in the Bible?
i see the party of personal responsibility is still at it.
Gay.
Well, they've just lost their base.

Well, if you have sex w/ him and he likes it . . . .

True. Not like Essie Mae's existence actually made him less of a segregationist or whatever.

It just makes no sense whatsoever.
Of course "Israel" and "the Jews" aren't actually the same thing.
Don't you need to present the form to claim your toaster?
Not to mention the Reagans on stem-cell research, also, too.

"Things Rob Portman would support if they effected him personally."
