I did not find any of the finery. My sister and BIL keep finding things of his to give me (they once loaded a truck with stuff for me to drag back to Seattle). They gave me a leaded crystal salad set and were aghast when I told them I broke it up to cast into small dinosaurs.
He joined after several very serious medical issues including a burst appendix. He did not convert until he was in his 50s.
Using a microwave oven (and special kiln) I make glass puddles; often the puddles are in molds of various things. I actually made dinosaurs, skulls, among other items. The leaded crystal was molded not carved. For a woman at my clinic who had an owl tattoo, I actually made a series of owl castings - not all of which were in leaded glass (definitely do not cook food in that microwave - glass colors are mostly metals of one sort or another)
This mentality is valuable to understand....What they are saying is similar to what occurred during the 1960's when civil rights workers were murdered. White supremacists at that time claimed that "wet squads" murdered their own supporters and then tried to blame such violence and illegality on innocent white southerners. Of course, the people arrested and charged with the murders were almost always RIGHT-WING fanatics and, often, KKK members.
So, we should understand the underlying principle being presented. Trumpists believe that they are morally and intellectually incapable of EVER doing anything immoral or illegal -- so any evidence to the contrary HAS to be discredited and ridiculed --- in order to maintain the FICTION of perfection which they attribute to themselves.
Reminds me of CNN coverage of Anna Nicole Smith's death. Over 6 hours of speculation on the cause and more speculation on how it effects her child. Lost all respect for Wolf Blitzer that day.
Logging on the Internet and reading about our Senator, Ron Johnson, is like getting a letter from the teacher advising you that "Your son Ronnie has been disruptive in class, annoying the other students and showing poor impulse control."
Their sense of entitlement includes the right to riot, insurrect and then deny afterwards. I'm sure they expect more than that as well.
