They see it as an investment. A couple million in campaign contributions ensures they can continue to treat employees like dirt and corporate taxes with loopholes big enough to drive their entire fleet of FedEx trucks through. They wouldn't do it if they didn't more out of it than they gave.

How is a person responding to an emergency for money any different than a company responding to an emergency for money? I do not see a meaningful difference. Both need to make more money than it costs them in order to continue to do it.

As for not having the numbers, then you are simply making baseless accusations. For all you know they are doing it for cost, or cost plus, or possibly even as a loss leader in order to get additional or future business. I am not saying they are not profiteering but it is premature to be calling them profiteers without the data to back it up. And what about Walgreens, CVS, and the other places which will be giving the shots? Why are they not profiteers? And Pfizer and Moderna and the syringe manufacturers, and .... To deliver the vaccine into arms is a very long supply chain and there are lots of opportunities for profiteering but all those others are ignored.

Whenever I drive by that post office on Bloomington, I wish it was the one that burned down. It's much uglier.

That huge defense budget, and the Air Force can't seem to find a few spare planes to drop off a few measly vaccine containers.

Not ego! Trump has the BIGGEST, yoooooogestest, most ginormous EGO evah! Everybody says so! Grown men, big manly men, with tears in their eyes, "Oh, sir, you're the most egotistical fuckwit person I have ever known! No one could ever be more of an egotist than you, sir!"

Our company avoids shipping anything Fedex as much as possible because it's pretty much guaranteed to be handled like a (insert your favorite simile for the roughest treatment possible here). Honestly. UPS is ok. But I wouldn't want Fedex handling my ronavax, thankuverymuch. Those are probably hired actors.

According to the linked article, it was $500,000 that Fed Ex, not $2.2 million, and it wasn't to his campaign but to his inauguration. Which is both not quite so bad, money-wise, but fucking hilarious, donation-wise, since his inauguration was a grift fest and isn't under criminal investigation and wasn't very bigly. Fed Ex, BTW, does the worst job delivering to our house. Packages left in the driveway (which is behind the house where we can't see them) or hanging off the fence. Way to help out the "porch pirates" so they don't even have to go on the porch.
