Not meant as one - at all. Mitch McConnell is swimming in Russian money and "kompromat". I've assumed that for months.

ayup, from Gerber life insurance ads on Fox, where else would the presidunce get his info? Of course, it said 12 bucks a month, not pr year, so he even managed to get that wrong by a factor of 12.

Someone like Bill who don't read 2 good really shouldn't be calling other people stupid. Especially members of Starfleet, which has very high standards. :)

He was making a sarcastic hypothetical, not an actual policy proposal. It's supposed to highlight how the Trumpites would get screwed over by the very thing they claim to want. I think you're the only one who didn't pick that up.

'Allow cheap cover-nothing policies and the R's can declare victory' is what Old Sherman said and the result of that (The Cruz-Lee Amendment) would result in the splitting and destruction of the insurance industry that we currently rely on.

I believe in single payer too, raised by a doctor that started fighting for single payer since he graduated from med school. They even did an article on him in Time back in 1967, because he paid for several hundred people to get dialysis treatment out of his own pocket, because it was 'experimental' back then.

We are long past the need for a rational system that eliminates the profit motive and addresses the 300,000 deaths a year in the US due to malpractice and iatrogenic illness.

While what you state may be his train of thought, the problem he missed was just how destructive the suggestion would be in practice.

Have a great day!
