This causes Sir to rage and to weep. But the tears, they fall inward, flooding Sir's brain stem with salt and causing Sir to lash out -- at none but himself.

Ta, Marcie. I vote in every D primary and every general, every year. I loathe that so many people believe voting is an every-four-years event. I carried petitions door to door as a 15- and 16-year-old to get Congress to lower the voting age from 21 to 18, and was one of the first 18-year-olds to vote way back in 1972. I once showed up at my polling place when there were no elections in my district. I mean, I KNEW no one was running because of the empty mailbox, but I had to be sure. Why can't everyone get it together to vote in every election, every year?

Voter suppression is a problem. Don't suppress your own vote. Do more if you're able -- register voters, get people to the polls, help them obtain ID if it's lacking. Whatever it takes. VOTE!!!!

Not to harsh the buzz, but IMHO we should keep in mind that Shitler is the one moving that needle, so we need to run candidates who can *crush* it, like Mamdani or that XP Lee, instead of relying on the usual “our candidate is less shitty than theirs” approach, especially because if we follow that playbook again in ’28, we will fucking lose again.

"Lee was born in a refugee camp in Thailand, after his Hmong family was displaced from Laos during the Vietnam war. Then they moved to Fresno, and Lee moved to Minnesota after college."

The tragedy. Why does MAGA not respect these immigrant stories more. I mean, dear God, the person had to live in Fresno.

I was reading some "You're Doing It All Wrong" article that suggested that Democrats downplay the abortion issue because it "doesn't poll well." With advice like that who needs enemies.

I guess that doesn't include the polls people go to in order to overwhelming support abortion rights when they're on the ballot.

"Hundreds of workers cut by DOGE now asked to return to work after months of paid time off"

... The General Services Administration has given laid-work workers who had managed government workplaces until the end of this week to accept or decline reinstatement, according to an internal memo obtained by The Associated Press, and those who return must report for duty on Oct. 6 after what would amount to a seven-month vacation paid by taxpayers.

"Ultimately, the outcome was the agency was left broken and understaffed,” said Chad Becker, a former GSA real estate official. “They didn’t have the people they needed to carry out basic functions.”

The US under an infamously corrupt President intends to prop up a failing right wing government in a southern cone country.

This always ends well for everyone involved.
