Yes I just read that where states are relaxing rules, Barr intends to send in "prosecutors" to places where rules are too oppressive. The most confusing sentence ever.

Did you know, after all that guff about the children starving, that she received a government check?

It is precisely because of the attack on education. There is a reason why, when a GOP gets to be gov of a state, the first thing he or she does is take a knife to the education budget.Every friggin time.

Nah. Have been for years. It just took weeks for them to decide that the time was right to start flaunting it openly.

You mean other cats were standing around watching her? That sounds good for sure. Doesn't it? I wonder if they heard her from outside all night. They are truly so loud it's incredible. That's how you know they aren't hamsters.

I was confused to read today that we Liberals are claiming Sweden's method during this time has worked really well because we have to believe that white people are always superior to other nations. It's one thing to be constantly blamed for hidden agendas that make us lie, but to be accused of every concievable hidden agenda even opposite agendas is going to be tiring, tiring beyond belief. Won't they shut up, or find something else, find another way to be? I mean, why not relax, and take things as they come?

I want her to take that veil off. Not because I think she's carrying an automatic weapon. I bet no Wonketeer agrees.

Have you ever read Sinclair Lewis? It's like the Stone Age but all these men, the backbone of each small American city, you know, forming this diffuse club that he hints at in a rudimentary way. But man if there's ever any trouble down at the Chamber of Commerce, how the women fall by the wayside. I love him.

It has been almost 2 decades since I've done so, but yes I have.

It's time to do that again.

When we were young-- me anyway-- we didn't understand these dynamics. The most subtle thing I saw was in "Main St." A young woman has married and arrived in the town and been unhappy there at the rigidity and so on. After a year or so she gets an idea, that in a town park it would be great and fun to have people come to the town park some Saturday and just have fun arranged for all the children to just run around and have games and food and just relax. They want to come but when she arrives there's the town band playing marches and a stand for the mayor and dignitaries to introduce each other and all day they make speeches, congratulating each other, while the children have to sit and be quiet!

Yes Ted, the white man's burden is heavy indeed. I've seen immigrant workers live in shitty conditions around here, frequently in housing provided by their employer- these weren't the chicken places, but some little rinky dink restaurants and logging operations still do that here.

MY daughter's ex-bf worked at one of the chicken plants around here- they paid $11 something to start. Not great, but definitely not bad for around here where most jobs that don't require a degree have a starting wage of $8-9/hr. Not sure how long he was able to stick it out.....

This is kind of scary considering the fact that my governor (TN) has, in his infinite wisdom, decided it's a good plan to hand our medical data over to law enforcement- whether or not that includes ICE was left unsaid but I'm guessing it depends where you live. In Memphis and Nashville, probly not. Everywhere else, almost certainly.I'm really hoping that this fascist shit will be challenged in the courts.

love how they blame it on the "cultures" rather than economic necessity where it belongs

exactly: respond to "THEY'RE TAKIN R JERBS!" by giving them one of these jobs - then watch the excuses fly.
